I have to be honest, after having some difficult time to find the location, and seeing the outside of it looking pretty bland, I was thinking that maybe I had made the wrong decision. Being a bakery, it seemed to look interesting and good enough, so I decided to try it. When I walked in I was welcomed to a very good smell that made my mouth start to water. The music playing was very upbeat, and it sounded good to what I was listening. Around the room, there were a lot of bakery pictures, along with some mildly dim lights that made the room a little dark. By the cashier, there was a table full of delicious looking pastries. Overall though, the place really didn't show any sign of French things, and that made me a little disappointed. I came in around 2 P.M. Which really isn't that busy of a lunch hour, but I was very surprised to find that it was very busy, and it was hard to get a seat. While I was there, I was lucky enough to try a lot of food. It was also a very pleasant surprise to see the food come out quickly. I started off with the Sausage and Poblano Quiche. It was kind of spicy, but it was nice and chewy, with the wonderful cheese that would melt in your mouth. I then tried the Bacon and Swiss Quiche. You can taste the blend perfectly, from the crunchy bacon to the hot melted cheese in your mouth. I then tried the Chicken Salad Sandwich with tarragon, celery, walnut, and cranberries. I honestly am really not a fan of these things, but I was very surprised when I tasted the sandwich. It was really good! It had a lot of variety, but it also blended perfectly where it was crunchy, but also soft and chewy at the same time. Not only did it blend, but the variety of the items in it made the sandwich's taste very fruitful! With the sides I had the potato soup and their pineapple. The potato soup was very soft and creamy, melting in your mouth. It really wasn't chunky which I really liked. The pineapple was really good also, it was juicy which I really liked. Plus, It was crunchy and the taste really came through. Overall, the entrees were fantastic. Now, it is not possible to go to this bakery and not get a pastry. So I decided to try a few of them out. First I started with the Smore's tart; the chocolate was really rich. It was also really crunchy, but the whipped cream made it soft and smooth in your mouth. Not only did it look like a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, it also tasted like one too. Overall it was pretty good. Next I tried the Pecan Roll, it was really good, the favorite one I tried. The blend of the nuts, and the sweet caramel was perfect. The dough was perfect and was an overall joy. The last thing I tried was the Raspberry Cheesecake. This in my opinion was the worst thing I tried there. It was pretty frozen, the raspberry filling along with the actual food was good, but the cheese was way to overpowering. It was alright, but I like the other two desserts a lot more. Overall, it was a very good visit with excellent customer service, and I would love to come in the day time and try out their breakfast. Coming with two family members, I would recommend this as a great family restaurant as it was very friendly. I would recommend this to anyone who has the will to try to any food, or even bring a date. This was a great restaurant and I will be sure to come back again. read more
