Came here on a whim. Not to buy anything but to try their food. You walk in and you see the kitchen. You can choose your choice of taco: lengua, babrbacoa jalicense, beans, barbacoa, carnitas, carne asada and others. There is also flautas, caldo, chile rellenos, tortas, pupusas, quesadillas, and gorditas. I had 2 sopes which they made to order (filled them with whatever i wanted) in this case, pork carnitas. They added beans, rice on the bottom, then the pork and top it off with lettuce, tomato and queso fresco. They were so big, i didn't finish them. My son had the bean taco and shredded chicken taco. Both were good but the I found a bone in the chicken taco. Both things we ordered were good and portions were pretty big. The place is clean and pretty colorful. It's stocked with latin foods and also has an on site butcher.

I would say I love going to this meat market because they have meats on sale i mean on sale every weds. Rather than going to HEB where they meats are so expensive by the pound I would recommend people that loves chicken or pork to go to this place. It just open not to long ago and emp are nice, and the store is clean. The eatery inside is good too, I had the tacos and its well worthed on reasonable price.

Good variety of meats and vegetables. Smaller store than others in the area but well stocked and people were very friendly

ZABIHA HALAL ! We…read moreare absolutely BLESSED to have Alamo Farms available. Outside of Ali Baba, this is our GO TO for fresh meat -- they have live animals in an enclosed area next to the store front, and if you'd like you can actually choose your meats. Alamo Farms has a WIDE RANGE of meats and cuts available. At times, they may run out of something due to popularity and their VERY AFFORDABLE price, but that's not on them. Every time I come here, there's at least 4-5 cars parked outside. They don't serve just the Muslim population, but an entire community. For my *halal* lovers, I've personally seen the rooms / freezers in the back of the lot and it is VERY CLEAN. You can easily see that the blood has been drained from the animal, and it is done ethically. My husband buys PLENTY at one time to put into our deep freezer and we've never had any issues with any freezer burns either. I personally love their short ribs, T-bone steak, and ribeye. The gentlemen that work also make great recommendations when you are looking for a specific cut of meat. We wanted to make beef birria tacos and the cut they recommended yielded PERFECTION. Alhamdulilah for Alamo Farms.

While I saw they had some fresh coconut juice for sale, that was a must when it was getting hot during the summer. Service was prompt and got helped once available! Prices were fair. Parking was ample while we were there!

You basically choose your meat, hot sides, and cold sides instead of ordering a traditional plate. The staff was super friendly and even let my dog wait in line with me, which I appreciated. Parking wasn't an issue since there's street parking available. It's also family-friendly with plenty of outdoor seating. I ordered my food to go, so I didn't sit inside or get a chance to check wheelchair accessibility. As for the food, the brisket was hands down my favorite, followed by the jalapeño and the cobbler. The jambalaya was my least favorite because it was a little too salty for me. Overall, the food was phenomenal, and the service was even better. Just be prepared to wait, especially on a Sunday afternoon. I'd definitely come back for that brisket!

Echoing many other reviews - the line can get verrrry long, I was passing by there on a Sunday…read moreafternoon and literally only stopped because it is the shortest I've ever seen the line - still waited approximately 30minutes until food in hand. The bbq itself is really good, can't deny that - but good LORDT two slices of (really excellent) brisket was near $20, alone. brutal. I had two slices of brisket, a small fist-sized handful of pulled pork, a small jambalaya, small mac n cheese, a Mexican coke, and the bread pudding.....$58 before tip. Be forewarned if you're bringing a date or your family of 6, it is pricey. Overall, I would highly recommend that expensive brisket and the bread pudding was DELICIOUS - if I ever go back I would get just these two, although the mac was also really good. Jambalaya was tasty because I had a craving and I enjoyed the duck in it, but nothing to write home about tbh - I'd replace it with a second bread pudding or get a larger mac n cheese next time.
