Not as crowded during the week Food bakery from Houston driven in seems much fresher Reason I come is to get fresh bean milk and these pastries and many more. These shown are gluten free. Many gf items because they r. Basically all rice products

Prices have gone way up due to inflation, but it also seems like a little more than that. On a recent detour to Austin, I found the grocery stores there are considerably lower priced on the same exact items. Also usually a much quieter and less hectic feeling ambiance for those that care about that. One of the best in town? Great. That means I come here from necessity. That does not necessitate a five star review, however. Still, compared to other Asian markets near this location, they stay competitive and have the best fresh produce selection within a 20 minute radius probably. That is the main draw for me. Prices are often incorrectly labeled and customer service is limited any time you are there. I do like that they have a hot food section, some bulk purchase item selections, products from multiple Asian cultures, and even seasonal. Today they had mooncakes! Get them wild they're hot? Cold? Only once a year for The Mid-Autumn Festival, unless you want to lasso my very best friend Google into assisting with your purchase. As I have said in previous reviews, call me spoiled coming from California, but this is not the quality level I have come to expect. I would say excellent product inventory, great selection, good product quality, subpar price value, but negative shopping experience in regards to inaccurate pricing on the shelves coupled with unfindable customer service. Alas, I do not like giving free passes for reduced quality due to business location, nor "that's the way they are" reasoning.

And here it is! Read the label. Definitely no clean ingredients

Please be very careful with the items you purchase. I recently visited this market and found some cookies that had some VERY SERIOUS WARNINGS SIGNS! Look out for the Butter Coconut

I always come here- although the selection isn't the best- it's the best you have unless you drive to Austin- I went to buy sticky rice and noticed the was loose rice when the cashier checked me out but she said it was probably fine. When I made it home 30 min drive later and put the rice away in the package I noticed small scratches and bites on the holes. I went back thinking a fluke since I've never had a probable and noticed all the rice and mice droppings everywhere. I def hope they get this cleaned and corrected soon.

Despite the superlative in its name, this super market is still an underrated gem in San Antonio. One of the foundational pillar of the community where you can skill get all your Asian grocery needs. A long with Vietnamese and Chinese staple ingredients, there's a sprinkle of Korean, Filipino, and Japanese ingredients to make this place a near one stop shop. The deli towards the left (and back) side of the store has combos to go and BBQ by the pound. Although I prefer the BBQ Pork (cha siu) of Tim's Oriental, this place has the better Roast Pork

    Sliced pork hock.

Easily the best Asian supermarket in the San Antonio area. Good service, excellent produce section with East-Asian vegetables, mushrooms, and fresh rice products. Great fish and frozen section as well with plenty of choices in the areas of dumplings and dim sum. Not really a negative: There are some highly rated Vietnamese sandwich and Chinese take-out places on one side of the store...but they never seem to be open when I show up, LOL! Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a Chinese, Vietnamese, or Korean themed product.

This is an excellent Asian grocer, and an excellent grocery store in general. The produce looks good and is priced competitively. The sauce, rice, and snack selections are extensive. You can even find some of the best butter ever (Bretel) hidden inside the aisles. Be sure to check out all the imported chip flavors to share with friends. Off the the left side of the store there's even a small counter service food service area with lunch specials and some good selection by the pound (one lb minimum) including duck. It's a very well rounded grocer that will be my new go to for Asian selections.

In my ongoing search for all things Asian, I don't think I've found a more robust Asian supermarket than Asia Super Market (#1). Located just outside San Antonio in nearby Windcrest, it is probably the largest and most versatile Asian supermarket in the SA metropolitan area. It's large, clean, new'ish, plenty of parking, and more importantly loaded with lots of Asian goods. Whether it's produce, sauces, drinks, snacks, hot food, baked goods, etc. they really do have it all. The shopping carts may be a bit on the small side, but hey, no one's perfect. They also have a restaurant / eating area where there is pho and other Vietnamese dishes available. They rock a BBQ display of duck, chicken, and pork, which makes this a convenient option for a little food in addition to the shopping. The customer service is good. They're quick on the registers and aren't shy about helping people find what they want. The prices feel a tad higher than most average Asian markets in SA, but then again, there isn't much competition anyway. ____________ (#1) I realize how crazy that sounds.

THE BLACK AND WHITE: When I say Vietnamese-style, it's only because most of the internal signage is in vietnamese. It has every asian countries ingredients from China/Korea/Vietnam to The Philippines and indonesia. You can find some really good pricing here on those staples. Fresh produce aisle is a bit limiting. Pretty big seafood area and meat. Walking to your far left side are all the kitchen toolware if you want to level up your kitchen game. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Always enjoy my time here at MT supermarket. Lots of ingredients you won't find at a 99 Ranch or H Mart.

My favorite market. They even have alcohol, dishes, candles, other houseware supplies, and some basic American products. Prices area generally competitive, some much better than others. My main complaint is that it can be overwhelming, especially when you're trying to find one specific thing. The other issue is that so many items have mislabeled prices or none at all. This can be challenging when you're trying to stay in budget while faced with more options that you can imagine. Also, fresh prepared items don't necessarily have their ingredients listed which can be scary for less adventurous eaters. The store is generally easy to navigate even through some cluttered set ups.

They've got a large selection of Goya products, canned foods and dry beans and spices. They've got a healthy selection of Caribbean colas, which are always fun. I could try them all! The frozen selection is amazing! They've got heaps of food that has been imported from afar to end up here under ice. There's a small produce selection that seems to favor plantains. If they don't have it fresh, they'll have it frozen. My favorite were the large African sculptures they were selling by the door. The clerk was friendly and said "hi" when I came in. The merchandise looked all pretty fresh. I wish there were some things to help explain what some of the ingredients and products were. It'd be nice if they had recipes or cards that explained that these items are snacks, and these are ingredients. But if I had any questions, the clerk was happily standing by to answer.
