There were also about 15 people behind us who had been waiting just as patiently. We understand that the employees appeared to be elderly, and we appreciate anyone who is willing to work. However, it's clear they need more staffing or better organization to handle the demand. Waiting over two hours only to be turned away right before our turn was incredibly unfair and unprofessional. What made the experience even more disappointing was the lack of communication. There was no apology or announcement to everyone waiting in line. Instead, the customer in front of us was asked to tell us that we could "come back tomorrow at 10 a.m." if we wanted. After investing two hours of our evening, that was frustrating and dismissive. As we were leaving, we noticed the people behind us were also upset and questioning the staff at the window. Rather than addressing the situation, the staff turned off the lights and closed the metal gate, leaving everyone outside without any explanation. It's unfortunate because we were looking forward to trying the ice cream after awaiting their opening this year, but the poor organization and lack of respect for customers' time completely overshadowed the experience. We will no longer be returning.

I pointed out to her that their sign says they are open till 9 and it was only 8:35, and rather than apologizing for closing early, or giving a decent explanation for the early close, she snapped back "I need time to clean the machines" with attitude in her voice. I am not sure whether the manager or owner allows their employees to close early, but as a business owner myself, I would be pretty upset at my employees if they were closing early on a busy Saturday night. We were not the only ones turned away, as they turned away at least two other families right after we were leaving. Additionally, if the owner or manager is aware they are closing early and gives them permission to close early on busy Saturday nights, then maybe you should change the sign to state you close at "8:30" as customers expect the store to be open till 9, when the sign states it's open till 9. And lastly, give your employees some customer service training. They clearly did not want to be there and looked like they were miserable to be working there, which was also probably why they were closing early.

The first time I went, I remember I got plain churros. My boyfriend suggested for me to try the vanilla filled churro and I can't look back since that day. Vanilla filled churros are my fave and go-to flavor especially when I go to Xurro. Mobile App: I highly recommend downloading the Xurro mobile app and placing your order that way or placing your order by phone. I usually order through their mobile app to make sure my points are in my account and can get discounts on future purchases. When you order online, the allotted time they give you is it will be ready in about an hour. I usually order ahead of time so but the time I get there, it's ready with little to no wait. I'm not sure how long it takes when you place an order right then and there, especially during busy hours, but I can only imagine. Food/Drink Items: There are many delicious options to choose from although churros are their speciality, they also have coffee, ice cream, etc. I feel old school for saying this or maybe this is just an old school flavor, but I find it hard to find establishments that have Superman ice cream. Xurro, at least the location on 63rd near Midway had Superman ice cream and I love it! The only other place I know that serves Superman ice cream is Huck Finn Restaurant. Customer Service: All the staff I've interacted with every time I go are always welcoming and friendly. My order is always correct & usually ready when I pick it up with doing a mobile or online order. Parking: Parking is really tricky on 63rd St. It's a hit or miss with parking. There's usually no parking when I go to Xurro, so I usually park near it and have my emergency lights on. Overall Experience: Overall, I always have a great experience whenever I come to Xurro. I highly recommend this place if you're craving churros and their churros taste wayyyy better than one you can get at a carnival during the summer time. I hope this review help Xurro location on 63rd St. near Midway, Xurro in general, & its current and future customers. Have an amazing day!

I finally got around to check out this cool little ice cream parlor. It was the weekend and it was busy. The line was long but was moving fairly quick. While waiting I took a glance of the different flavors they had to offer. I decided to go with strawberry and chocolate chip cookie dough. At the counter they take your order and then you have to wait until your name is called. The scoops are the perfect size. The flavors were delicious probably some of the best ice cream I have had in a while. I think next time I come back I will be ordering the strawberry cheesecake and vanilla. The location is not hard to miss it is on a corner, it is a mission to get there but totally worth the drive. The interior of the parlor is so cute, the decorations, and the overall atmosphere. There is seating outside available. The parking situation is good too even if its busy. The staff was patient and kind while taking care of the customers. I will highly recommend this and all it's other locations Best Hispanic food / snacks I have ever tasted. The management here is outstanding. As their employees are respectful and friendly.
