The location is perfect--about 10 minutes from the park entrance and right in town near restaurants and shops. The owners are incredibly friendly, and they weren't kidding about having the cleanest restrooms around. The bathrooms and private showers were spotless, with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The park is neat, well maintained, and clearly cared for. There were even dog toys for our pup. Our pull-through site had plenty of room for our 29-foot rig. Between the friendly staff, excellent location, and outstanding cleanliness, this is easily one of the best RV parks we've stayed at. Staff were friendly (the ones I interacted with). Dumpsters were a bit of a hike. I did like there was a board with open sites. I did not like that I went to check out as I didn't prepay and someone was in the office but the doors were locked. I was trying to leave, not sit around and wait. Most places open at 8am and I was at the office at 845am but I guess they open at 9.

What makes outback RV so great is that it's small, quiet, and off the beaten path. Bill, the owner is a Great host and a really genuine person. There are some mountain biking trails and hiking trails less than a quarter mile away, and Cortez is a short drive down the road. They are you'll find hardware stores grocery stores pet stores and pretty much anything you'll need. Also Mesa Verde national Park is a short drive as well. If you're looking for a quiet, clean, basic RV Park with great views of the stars and great people come check out outback RV.

It rained a lot while we were there, watch where you set up your gathering area outside your tent or camper or you may get a little flooded (Bad planning on our part). Our view was amazing and we couldn't have been happier to spend our first night ever in Colorado at this location. When we checked in the staff was nice enough to escort us to our campsite so there was no confusion. We didn't setup our privacy tent since we were only staying one night so we used the bath house they had on site. They had several to choose from so you didn't have to worry about waiting in line for a shower or toilet. Also, they were all very clean and maintained well. The site for one night was a total of $41 with tax, and it was worth every penny. We highly recommend the stay! Thanks KOA!

During our cross country trip we decided to stay in Mancos, CO. The Riverwood resort welcomed us…read morein. Our spot was right near the front of the resort and we setup just before the rain. The spot was nice and had plenty of room, the only downside was that the sewer hook up was elevated and near the middle of the site so I had to pull up when leaving to get to it. Since it was elevated I had to use orange blocks and the sewer track to get things working. The rest of the site was nice and the restrooms and showers were clean and worked great. Unfortunately we had to drive down to Santa Fe so we missed the burro fest in downtown the day we checked out, it looked like a load of fun.

Why didn't this happen earlier? I spoke to the cabin renter and he said he had no problem with the tent there. The RV patrol woman said he did,(BTW he was my cousin...) and he said no such thing... She was adamant about me moving it and wanted a confrontation which I wasn't gonna give her. I pointed out on the map they had given me that I put my tent where it was pictured and she said the map was wrong! I ended up moving my tent and she left angry and never showed her face for the remainder of my stay. She was so rude in front of my family and guests and other RV residents. No one could believe she made such a big deal over the tent location. Needless to say I will never stay here again, if they are gonna make up rules at their convenience!

Beautiful place to stay! At first I was unsure about the lack of air conditioning in the cabins,…read morebut it turned out to the a non-issue! I rented linens and they were great for the price. The showers didn't have the best pressure when all six were in use simultaneously, but that was easily fixed by three showering at a time. The water heater also had to be continuously turned on by somebody for it to stay warm, but when it was warm it was great. The views were ridiculously beautiful! I loved going up on the 360° sunset deck, despite the fact that it was too cloudy to see much color. I also wanted to mention that I loved the inclusion of Bible verses on the concrete. It was great to see that! I will definitely stay again if I am in the area.
