This towns food offerings leave a lot to be desired, and the better of them come with a hefty price tag. So I was delighted when Saporito opened yet another branch here. Myself, the girlfriend and her family trooped out last Sunday in pursuit of an alternative to the usual run of the mill Sunday dinners we've become acquired to of late - and it's safe to say we were not disappointed. I punted for the macaroni cheese - not the most adventurous of dishes, I'll admit - but certainly the tastiest. It was HUGE. Served with a delicious side salad and I went all out and got the chunky fries (gotta have something to pop up that excess cheese sauce, right?). As far as mac' and cheese goes this stuff was up there with the best; Sloans and my mums homemade mac but to name a few. The girlfriend went for the goats cheese and tomato style pasta bake. It looked equally as tasty as my mac' and cheese. As did the tagliatelle and lobster ravioli which featured at our table. Everyone was more than delighted with their food and suitably full up as well. Can't emphasise enough just how big the portions were - not that I'm complaining, as the price was more than fair for a plate half that size. The only criticism I had of this place was that we were literally the only people in the whole place. At 7pm on a Sunday evening I'd like to think that wouldn't be the case - however I'm sure once the word gets out about this place that people will be clambering for a table.

Nothing too fancy here, but definitely worth a visit for something slightly different from the standard pubs on Main St. when you're in Largs-- especially if the sun is out and you can sit on the front seaside patio! There's the usual fare on the menu - main meals, sandwiches and icecreams and some good veggie options. Although we weren't eating we did clock the prices which seemed pretty steep. Some butter tablet icecream ( one kids scoop) was £2.50 which did seem pretty cheeky. Our small coffees were over £2.50 each but we didn't object too much given we were enjoying the chat and the view. We did laugh at some of the other prices though - £3.10 for a breakfast roll and egg and 80p for a single digestive biscuit! I must admit the young guy serving was a gem - really smiley and enthusiastic, but I do think that this place is taking liberties with its prices. But when you're having a day out by the seaside, price isn't that important!

The menu said choose a side so I chose the garlic bread that was on the list of sides, the waiter said that was not an option. Only French fries and broccolini were available. The chicken, which is deep fried, was COLD! How does that happen?! Luckily the sauce on the cold pasta was hot so I swirled it with a piece of chicken and pretended the meat was hot. I finally had to waive down the waiter to ask for my wife's meal. She said it was edible.

Exiting the international arrivals hall, I immediately spied this welcome beacon of coffee. I dashed to the counter, ordered my Americano and received it pronto. It was hot and full of caffeine...just what the doctor ordered. The service was friendly and faster than any other service I received in Glasgow. The two staff members there kept the place tidy and there was a plug by my table where I was able to charge my gadgets. This coffee shop is at the right place at the right time. I am a fan.

The guac was delicious and balanced out the spices a little. The water took the edge off the spice, but not much. Like a proper kick though, so was delighted with this. You can choose between mild, medium, hot and extra hot. The place itself is quite small. The table I sat at still had the last customer's leftovers there, but it was busy when I arrived so can forgive them for that. You can buy bottles of hot sauce here and they do Swipii points. Yay! People always say you'll have to book in advance for a table at Cardosi's and its reputation and…read morepopularity become clear after one visit (perhaps even as soon as the scents from the kitchen first hit you). Having visited the restaurant for years, celebrating all manner of things with my family, I can honestly say I consider it to be Paisley's best restaurant. The staff are attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and they make each experience - always a culinary delight - truly excellent. American and Italian influences are married beautifully; the latter being (thankfully) far more prominent leaving the former as an interesting accent. The resultant atmosphere is inviting, warm, relaxed and a pleasure to dine in. The lighting in the back is perfect and really makes Cardosi's a great place for a special occasion whilst the booths are somewhat secluded and provide for an intimate retreat in which to enjoy an afternoon or evening with good company. The menu has developed over the years but some signature dishes remain popular with my family; the simple Penne Alfredo is pasta perfection and the goats' cheese bruschetta (one of the four or so bruschettas offered) is divine. Presentation is thoughtful and consistent no matter which service you're enjoying; this is a testament to the kitchen staff as dinner can be exceptionally busy. Value is excellent, especially at lunchtime when two courses can be had for £9.50. Evening and pre-theatre are very well priced and do not overly restrict the diner. The à la carte options can be a little pricey but I have yet to be anything less than impressed by the choices therefrom. Recently there have been a couple of duck dishes on both the evening and à la carte menus which have been superbly executed. The Coppa Scozia, which raises the humble vanilla ice cream to dizzying gastronomic heights with the addition of crumbled Scottish tablet and hot caramel sauce, stands out from the dessert menu (but is equally matched by the rich and decadent cheesecake). Heralded by many as Paisley's go-to place for any special occasion, Cardosi's is unrivalled in the town and can hold its own against many of the reputable Glasgow restaurants. Whether you go for lunch or dinner, with a crowd or your significant other, you can be sure you'll be enjoying the very best that Paisley has to offer in quality dining.

The restaurant itself was quite nice. It's right in the heart of Glasgow just down the streets from all the shops and bars. Staffs were all welcoming which is a major priorities at restaurants. And for starters, chicken katsu which you would never see on the menu at a traditional Mexican restaurant. It was quite nice, good crunch and nicely battered. For entrees, still odd but the katsu dinner served with rice in a sauce with scallions garnish. It was quite tasty to say. Also, the fajitas platter which was ok. Nothing major to rave about but it was good. It wasn't sizzling on a skillet how the states serves it. The way it was presented was meat on one tray, another tray had the sides of sauce of sour cream, salsa and guacamole. And the last was the tortillas. Portions of meat and grilled veggies were very skimpy. Other dishes that were ordered from our group was a taco platter which came as a build your own tacos. Three different meats, tortillas and the condiments. Even some of the starters had nothing to do with Mexican food. I guess you have to add traditional items at different restaurants to please everyone. Not saying I'm a connoisseur of Mexican food but having loads throughout Mexico and the states, it was just ok.
