Jen was fabulous-easy to talk to, listened to what I wanted, cut quickly but not at a sacrifice for quality, and my hair was looking good when she was done. The salon is a ways down Cypress-Rosehill (keep going, it's there), and located in a little house-done up very cute inside. I made my next appointment before leaving and have found my local stylist.

My WHOLE point was. You cannot obligate people to services. They don't know what the price is for and you don't give them an estimate. And by the way, the owner never actually offered me services or anything . She just argued with me about her pricing until I told her I didn't want to come back for anything and then she said oh I was gonna offer you to fix your color.... after we had a really frustrating and combative conversation- would you feel good about spending HOURS at this salon having color fixed?????No thank you. like she literally called to argue with me. My stylist, Lana, has styled my hair for 15 years - I can't imagine anyone else so tuned in to what her customer wants, and her confidence in what she does is backed up by years of experience, training, and from what I've experienced, innate talent and love for her job. Not only can she do anything you ask (within reason for your hair type, of course, and sometimes she can do styles I've thought not possible for my hair type), but she takes the time to tell you how to use the products and tools to get the same look yourself and advises you on how to keep it healthy. And to top it off, she is the most positive person I know - so when you leave the salon, not only does your hair look great, after chatting with Lana, you feel like she's your best friend AND like you are the queen of the world! The rest of the staff is very friendly and helpful too. Since I live close by, no biggie! When I arrived, I was greeted and handed a book to pick out my nail color. I believe the owner was training someone, so they both tag-teamed my pedicure. They did a great job cleaning up my toes, giving me a good leg massage and getting my polish looking nice. I do think there may have been a little confusion with the pedicure I chose because I didn't receive the paraffin wax that was supposed to be included. After being there for about 2 hours, though, I decided to just roll with it and didn't mention it. Overall, this is a sweet, small, personal business. You definitely get more of that one-on-one feel here versus a typical busy nail salon.
