Wanted to try this new chain of restaurants, so here we go... As I popped there...Empty restaurant, no one to greet you and it looked as George Romero's Night of the Living Dead... Eventually the waitress /barmaid appeared and guided me to my table. Decoration of this commercial minded faux- Italian place was a bit affected and artificial. I started with the Carpaccio followed by the Pizza Longaniza de Graus and a sparkling mineral water. Only one waitress /barmaid was working at that moment in time (9pm) but she copped. The Carpaccio was rather tasteless, which was a real shame. Then the Pizza Longaniza dough was as thin as a water biscuit and its rim was carbonised and crumbling to the touch. On top of that the pizza aftertaste was sweetish AKA that should not be happening. It looks that the tomato sauce and a generous and wrong sugar overdose were the culprits. Funnily enough, half way through the service at 9:30 pm a waiter and another waitress appeared from thin air, or actually from the contiguous Meliá Hotel, to help the, until there, multitasking lady. Wi-Fi was super strong. Wouldn't go back unless their pizzaiolo/pizza "chef" gets a crash course of "How to make a proper Italian Pizza" starting from Lesson 1.0.1. There are good bars and restaurants in the area, but unfortunately this is not one of them. read more
