The owner let us wait inside for fifteen minutes until he officially open the restaurant. He only spoke Italian and we didn't speak Italian. He and his wife were very welcoming and patient with us. The wine didn't have labels and he had the menu written down in a notebook. The staff was extremely welcoming and the food was fresh and delicious. There is both an inside dining room and a large outdoor garden setting. The evening we came there was a warm breeze and it was delightful to sit outside. We were quickly seated and our order was taken within minutes. We started with typical Tuscan appetizers. One was tastier than the next. My girlfriend and I shared a large sandwich made with a huge flat bread. It was stuffed with meat, cheese, tomatoes and lettuce. Dad had a sliced steak with Parmesan cheese, arugula and French fries. For dessert we tasted the home made cheese cake that was the owner's Mom's recipe. It was much lighter and more delicate than a NY cheese cake. It was less sweet and to me tasted almost like a cross between cheese cake and a Napoleon. It was awesome! Definitely try it!
