Here's what we tried in the night: - Salad bar: a mix led greens salad and a variety of toppers to make your salad. They did have ham bits for a meat topper. A place (attempting) to be of this caliber: need to bring out the bacon bits. The croutons were homemade; and started with a pumpernickel bread, that was baked off and crisped up. I had the blue cheese dressing...which likely is a pre-fab blue cheese....but a better pre-made blue cheese dressing. I personally would want to see more of a blue cheese punch to it....as it was quite mild. - Prime Rib: Now, maybe this night (wasn't) the best representation of their prime rib. This was the last cut available on the night - and was more done than we would typically eat. But the good thing: Appears they are roasting a whole prime rib cut - as the meat texture and flavor was very good (not that tight texture/tough chew pre cuts of prime rib). - Chicken Madeira: This dish was quite good. The chicken was pounded out and tender. The moisture level in the chicken was good. The wine reduction sauce with mushrooms - an excellent finish to the chicken. Asparagus side was actually quite good. All and all.....you're in Marshfield Mo...or you want a place you haven't been or seen before...take a little drive (if you're in Spfd)...give this place a shot. You won't be disappointed...Mr. Clair the owner, will great you with a pleasant smile....make your night a good one!

We were here for the steak which is not on the lounge menu but we said we would wait there and have a drink. Bartender and several others saw us but ignored us for the first 15 minutes. We finally had a waitress ask if we had been served and we said no so she did take our drink order. A few minutes later hostess came and was going to seat us but drinks weren't served so she said she would get our table ready and be back. We got drinks and went to find hostess. Waited another 5-10 minutes for her to come and say she forgot about us. Salad bar is kind of sad for a place that charges what they do. Also menu in person and menu online do not match...fyi! Also when we went to order my husband struck out twice...they were out of the Jackson cut of prime rib and then out of the ribeye. The filet mignon was oversells in the rub but steak medallions were good. Potatoes were on the cool side. Might save the cash and grill my own steak next time The restaurant is in a 140 year old church and it's beautiful so there is that!

Finley Farms is the Ozark Mill along the Finley River that was purchased by the daughter of Johnny Morris (owner of Bass Pro Shop). They did a huge renovation and conversion to include a restaurant, country store, fine dining speakeasy style bar and restaurant, coffee shop and gardens. We started with brunch at the Ozark Mill restaurant. Then walked the grounds, including an old bridge. We headed out for a few hours and returned for dinner at The Garrison (speakeasy vibe bar and fine dining). We had reservations on the patio and it was simply gorgeous. The food and cocktails were amazing. Service was exceptional - We cannot wait to go back!

You can tell he is very passionate. We learned that he also teaches cocktail classes there on the weekends. We haven't been to a class yet but want to! This last time, we decided to try some food as well. The food was okay but cocktails is definitely where they excel. Overall, an incredible place for craft cocktails. The brussel sprouts were out of this world (just the right amount of crunchy, sweet, and savory). The pork loin with smashed bacon potatoes was one of the best meals I've had in a very long time. The carrot cake we had for dessert was the best carrot cake I've ever had. One thing that really surprised me was the portions. Usually at an upscale casual restaurant like this, the portions tend to be on the smaller side. Not here. You had to roll us out! Richard, our waiter, was amazing, and the rest of the staff was so nice and attentive. I've been saying for years that the food scene around the lake is a little disappointing. You can get pretty burnt out on all the restaurants serving similar foods that start to taste the same. 1932 Reserve is such a refreshing change. It's a great place for a special occasion, a date night, or just when you want a really delicious meal at a nice restaurant and you're tired of the typical restaurants around the lake. The one negative would be the parking, but it seems like they have a golf cart running people back and forth, which definitely helps. The Reserve has absolutely proven that they deserve a place at the lake, and I really hope they're successful for many years to come. The food and experience was truly great. It's the kind of restaurant you might expect to find in a big city, and I'm so glad it's here.

Beautiful spot, but $500 fine-dining prices with diner-level execution…read more Where to start. We've been coming here by boat for years. Experiences have always had up-and-down moments, but this time was disappointing because I really wanted it to be great. It just wasn't. The Good: The restaurant itself is gorgeous, and the waterfront ambiance is spot on. It's clearly the place to be at the lake--so good job on the venue. The Service & Atmosphere: Service was adequate, but far from fine dining. If you're charging premium prices, the service model needs to match. Having random runners drop food at the table without knowing who ordered what is diner or casual Mexican restaurant service, not an elegant dining experience. The new manager stopped by twice--a nice touch, until we actually provided constructive feedback. Instead of offering a remedy, he offered excuses about being new and didn't handle criticism well. The Food: Apps (Deviled Eggs & Tuna): Both looked like they'd been plated earlier in the day--they had an unappetizing "sheen" to them that made them look leftover rather than fresh. The flavor on the eggs was completely muted, and the tuna was equally lusterless. Salads: We split the Caesar, and our friends had the wedge. They were served without any offer of fresh pepper. When we flagged down a staff member, they brought out cheap grocery-store salt and pepper grinders. Later, we were told the new chef prefers not to offer pepper on the table. With all due respect to the chef: that's the guest's choice, not yours. (Side note: the wedge was tasty, but oddly wasn't actually cut into a wedge). Mains: The ladies had the Sea Bass--the dish that originally put this place on the map. It was okay, but not as good as it used to be; the new Asian flair and bowl presentation take away from what used to make it the star of the show. The pork chop was good and thoroughly enjoyed. My lasagna had a great portion size and good base flavor, but it was dry as jerky with practically zero sauce. The Verdict: The restaurant will continue to thrive simply because of its location and the lack of competing fine-dining options on the water. But when you're dropping $500 on dinner, you expect accountability and an outstanding meal. We won't be back anytime soon.

That's pretty fortuitous since it was 100°+F outside. Overall it looked like parking was a smidge limited, so I'd imagine if this place is busy, you might have a bit of trouble finding a spot. We hit the shift change, but our waitress was prompt and had drinks (hello Guinness) for us pretty quickly. Sidenote though, sitting close to the door when it's really hot out can prove a bit uncomfortable with people entering/exiting and being blasted with heat. We started with an order of fried pickle spears, which were tasty, but fell apart after a bit or two and were fairly messy. Mom and I opted for an order of the chicken and waffles each. It looked significant in the pictures, but having not really eaten all day, I was feeling ambitious. Mom failed to eat half of hers. At the expense of my waistline, I was able to devour the entirety of the 4x millionaire's-esque bacon strips, 3x waffles, 2x fried chicken breasts, and the orange maple syrup (which was unique and fantastic). Overall, while it was pretty good, it was more of an exercise in quantity over quality. I can't even fathom a dessert after this size of meal. This was closer to a 4.5 star experience, but next time I'd probably want to do something with a smaller portion to save room for cheesecake and an Irish coffee.
