Overall this is a great little restaurant, with neat ocean views in the daytime (though we were…read morethere at night and couldn't see much). Indoor and outdoor seating, year 'round, though in Feb, it was low 50Fs at night, and we had to sit inside. As with many of the beach towns in the Cadiz province, the dining room was chilly, because it is equipped for warmer temps most of the year. They also have a habit of leaving the door open, so I was in my coat the whole dinner. :-) Our menu was in Spanish, but our waiter was helpful about offering to describe things, if certain dishes were unfamiliar. It was easier for him to describe in Spanish, so I interpreted from there. He did find an old English menu to help my husband, but it didn't have all the current dishes, so we worked on it until all was copacetic, with food on the way! This place is more of a fusion restaurant. It has good reviews on a variety of rating sites, so that sold me, though I did want to stick to more uniquely Spanish food on this trip, be it traditional or newer. I just wanted to eat the region, authentically. We tried to go with the most indigenous dishes we could. I was surprised that when I asked the (young) waiter what dishes were most authentic to Spain, he came up with things that to me, are totally American. For tapas-like apps, we had the patatas con ajo y aceite de oliva, which was very good, but looked and tasted much like potato salad (thought it might be more like Andalusian Tortilla de Patatas). We also had a salad with fried chicken poppers, goat cheese, and salsa verde, which, again, was tasty, but much like something from home. My husband had the octopus (pulpo) entree with patatas bravas. It was perfectly cooked, with an amazing tenderness for what is usually a pretty rubbery texture. He was very pleased. My seafood limitations made me go with another Yelper's tip about the beef cordon bleu (even though it wasn't Spanish), and, unfortunately, I could not have been more disappointed. It came with a very orange cheddar sauce, that was like something from Ruby Tuesday's. I managed a few bites because I was starving, but my husband ate the rest. Just not my thing. Dessert was, again, very tasty, but the lemon torte had a meringue-y topping, much like yet another dish from home. The meal was for the most part very tasty, presented beautifully, and the staff was great. I just did not realize, from my research, how fusion-y this place was, and had hoped for more authentically Spanish/Andalusian dishes.

Simply AMAZING. A gourmet meal in the heart of Cadiz. If you are anywhere within driving radius of…read moreCadiz you MUST make your way here. This is the first review I'm writing on the spot waiting for the bill because it's THAT GOOD and want the review to do it justice. Ordered the meal for 2 split among the three of us which came with 4 plate choices and two desserts. Such a steal for 22.9 euros! Did I mention they have wifi?? Mains: Iberian ham - beautifully plated, comes with chorizo, lightly salted vegetables on the side, patatas with brava sauce. The ham is cooked to a perfectly crisp outside and tender and fatty with every bite mmm this is the Iberian ham I'll be dreaming about Chicken Teri Ensalada - comes in an adorable little pot, and a little fried cheese crisp on top. Dressing pairs wonderfully with the greens, tastes like a honey sesame Tuna - two huge chunks of tuna served with a side bed of vegetables. Probably least flavorful out of the dishes but fresh Cod - incredibly tasty chunks of white flaky fish atop a bed of ratatouille vegetables, surrounded be some sort of orange (potato/carrot?) mash and olive oil Desserts: Tiramisu - delish, heavy on cream, light on coffee middle, melts in your mouth Chocolate coulant - three layers of chocolate flavored whip on a perfectly crafted pie crust
