I visited Indian House Restaurant, Carretera de l'Arenal, 3, Platja de Palma, Mallorca during my…read moreholiday. While the country and location were beautiful, my experience at this restaurant was quite unpleasant.
From the beginning, there were mosquitoes around while I was trying to enjoy my meal. I ordered several items including coffee and Indian masala tea (té con leche). When the bill arrived, I noticed that the prices were higher than listed on the menu -- for example:
Coffee was listed as €1.50, but I was charged €1.80
Indian Masala Tea was shown as €2.00, but I was charged €2.70
When I politely asked the waiter about the discrepancy, his response was unprofessional and rude. He admitted it was a mistake but became defensive when I pointed out it happened with multiple items. He then refused to serve me further and said another waiter would take over. This behaviour was completely unacceptable for a customer-facing role.
I felt disrespected and misled, and this negatively affected my experience. I hope the management takes note of this incident, trains their staff better, and ensures the menu prices are honoured on bills. A restaurant should offer honest service and treat its customers respectfully.
