New Red Fort - Snapped the photo a bit too late after already digging in. This includes Punjabi Korma, Jalfrezi, Vindaloo.

Good Indian is hard to find, so this was a pleasant surprise in a small village on a Spanish…read moreIsland. We started with the Vegetable Samosas and Chicken Pakora. Both were crunchy and flavorful. 4 sauces were brought out- white (similar to tzatziki), red (tad bit of spice), green, and orangish/brown (sweet). All similar to most Indian type sauces for appetizers. Curries were the standouts. Korma has been one of the harder dishes to try and find a good one when we have tried them all over America and Europe. The Punjabi Curry had a bit of sweetness that I enjoy and the overall flavor was excellent. The other two dishes were similar we had a beef vindaloo and a chicken Jalfrezi. Vindaloo was labeled a 4x spicy and it was a medium spicy. Jalfrezi a tad less spicy but offered similar flavor. Both were great- I had not tried a jalfrezi in the past so was not sure what to expect. Both were tomato based and included well cooked meats with a bit of spice. Like most would agree naan is always a great add on to an Indian meal and theirs was flavorful- sometimes you get a garlic naan that does not have much taste or it is not fluffy enough or it is too hard- this was just right. The 4 pieces in the order were large! Food enjoyment is one my main priorities when eating out and red fort did a great job - atmosphere and service were fine. They were not detractors to the meal- just have expectations going in that they do have TVs playing cheesy Indian music videos that looks like 90s American rap videos and if you choose desert then it could involve a nestle ice cream freezer. If that's all ok with you then you may be in for a great Indian meal in Fornalutx.
