    Chicken tacos!
    Amy B.

We came here over the weekend for a late lunch, and found ourselves in front of a food truck by a car shop/car wash on Youville Dr. It seemed a little out of place in this industrial strip, but there are picnic tables out front, and some shade under the tree if there weren't any seats left. When we went, there were about a handful of other patrons enjoying their tacos. You can only order 3 of a kind, so we ordered 3 of the chicken (most popular), and 3 of the fish (haddock). We also got the watermelon juice. The price of the tacos were about 11 each, but came with chips and salsa, as well as your choice of extra toppings. I did not opt for more toppings, just to see what the regular offering was like. We got our drinks and the chips first, which we gladly enjoyed while waiting for our tacos. I don't mind so much the wait as long as the food was being made fresh. I can see during a weekday lunch rush why some people may not appreciate the wait, but I had no such issues while we were there. The tacos finally came, and they're a bit.. small. It's more 2 than 3 really, although they do give you a generous portion of protein (especially for the chicken). Toppings are fresh, but the regular offering is not a lot of topping variety (at least for the ones we ordered). Now I know for next time to order extra toppings. I liked the chicken a lot, but the fish I found too breaded for my taste. I found the meat very flavourful, but the tortilla was just ok. Surprisingly, eating all the chips and salsa plus the 3 (but really it's like 2) tacos, I was comfortably full. I thought I'd be hungrier, but there you go. I'm glad Orleans is popping up with more dining choices these days. Not sure when I'll be back, but it's definitely a decent option for tacos when we're in the area in the future!

This place is amazing. Their salsa is great and they put a lot of chips with your order.

I finally made it there today, but ended up getting take out, so didn't actually get to eat in the bus after all. The food was ok but overpriced in my opinion. I had the cheeseburger combo ($10.75) which was a cheeseburger, small fries and a can of pop. The cheeseburger was pretty small. However, you can add toppings like fried mushrooms and fried onions for free. I got both those and also lettuce and tomatoes (also free). The burger tasted good, it was just really small. The fries are also a small portion and I felt they were just ok. They smelled really good, but didn't really taste like anything special to me. However, they may have gotten soft during my drive since they were in a covered container. Maybe they were crispier when fresh. I will give this place another chance by eating there next time, so I can taste how the food is when it's freshly made. I like that the bun is plain and doesn't have seeds on it. I got the regular bun, but they also have gluten-free buns. The staff working there were nice. And I had to say the whole double decker bus thing I find really cool.

This place is great. This is a food truck, and you always know exactly where it'll be!…read more The menu is a pretty good assortment of the usual fast food fare - burgers, hot dogs, fries, poutines, onion rings, fried finger-foods, and ice cream. But everything is made fresh to order and they have a nice assortment of add-ons you can have on your burger, many of which have no additional cost (you only pay extra for cheese and bacon). The food quality is really good as well. The gravy is really delicious and has a nice consistency. And the serving sizes for the fries and onion rings are very generous. They also have some really interesting poutine toppings, including pepperoni, steak, pogo, hot dogs, and donair meat. There is plenty of outdoor seating on the large patio/deck area, or you can sit inside on the upper level of the bus. As a bonus, it shares a parking lot with the Innes Road Golfland, so if you feel like having a game of mini golf after lunch, or taking advantage of their driving range, it couldn't be more convenient.

Fat Bastard Burrito - Burritos! Regular size. $10.95 each at the store, but was $13.70 BOGO on UberEats.

Fat Bastard Burrito has arrived in Orleans! They are a chain from Toronto. Their name cracks me up,…read morelol. I've had their bowls and tacos before at another location, but strangely enough I never had their burritos until recently, at this new location, and they were great. I was at my parents' house in Orleans and they're always up for trying new restaurants, so I'm often on UberEats looking for new eats for them. I saw that Fat Bastard Burrito was having a BOGO deal on their Nashville Chicken Burritos, so thought this would be a great little treat for them. So the Nashville Chicken burritos (regular size, which they call "lil" but is not really little at all, lol) on UberEats are $13.70 each, while if you buy them directly from the store they are only $10.95. However, with the BOGO deal it was $13.70 for 2 burritos, which was awesome. You get to pick the toppings and I pretty much loaded them up with lettuce, black beans, Pinto beans, cheese, rice, noodles (yep, noodles is an option and I chose it, lol), coleslaw, guacamole (no extra charge for guac which it often is at other restaurants), Pico de Gallo, sweet peppers, and "crunchies" (which are basically crushed tortilla chips). Pick up was quick and staff were friendly. I know I said I got the burritos for my parents, but let's be honest, kids always steal a taste of their parents' food, right? Or maybe that's just in my family (?) Lol. So yeah, I had some, and it was really good for a fast food joint. I mean, it's a fusion creation, Nashville Chicken Burrito, and for what it is, it was excellent. The vegetables were fresh, the chicken was lean and tender with a slight spicy kick, the tortilla was soft with the right amount of chew and it was tightly wrapped. The burrito did not fall apart despite being stuffed with ingredients. There are no shortages of Chipotle-style chain fast food joints in the NCR (e.g. Bar Burrito, Mucho Burrito, Quesada, etc.) but I do like Fat Bastard Burrito the most. They have the most amount of toppings available and their burritos are fat, and we all know size matters, lol. This location is in the Fallingbrook Shopping Centre (which is actually more of a plaza). It's in the same section as Eggspress/Parea and easyfinancial. Lots of free parking.
