Good food, great ambiance, ponderously slow service. After getting a cheese plate appetizer, we waited about 40 minutes to receive our entrees, despite the fact that when we ordered, we were the only group there. One member of our group ordered two things and they forgot about the second, which extended our time even further. After we finally finished eating, we asked for our check a couple times and ended up going to the bar to pay because we had waited so long.
The food itself was good, but nothing special. I definitely recommend asking for bread, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar for the table. We enjoyed the cheese plate as an appetizer because there's a good variety, although only of hard cheeses.
Among the pastas, we have positive reviews of the ravioli and the pesto. The ravioli have a nice spicy aftertaste from the meat filling and the pesto seemed to give the most generous portions. The gnocchi weren't that great. The salads were simply bowls of plain lettuce. All in all, mildly underwhelming, but by no means bad. read more
