The employee working the front desk during my visit (an older gentleman with white hair and a white beard) told me to "look it up on my phone" when I asked a simple question. When I then asked if they had the wiring in stock so I could see it, he dismissively told me it was "all the way in the back of the store," without offering any assistance. I came in fully prepared to spend over $100, but the lack of basic customer service made me decide to take my business elsewhere. It's frustrating when you're ready to support a local business and are met with that kind of attitude. I won't be returning.

When I asked a reasonable question -- "Do you even want customers and money?" -- I was told, "No, we do what we want," while the manager fully supported the employee who had been rude to me earlier. I'm very disappointed with the customer service and the overall attitude towards customers. I absolutely do not recommend this business. I exchanged the lampshade 2 times and both times the owners Alex and his wife Agnes were utterly professional, understanding and apologetic, explaining that the damage sometimes occurs in shipping. Prior to purchasing the lampshades, they encouraged me to bring in the lamps to decide the proper size and were so kind, helpful and patient in assisting me with the perfect lampshade. I have been coming here since then for all of my lighting needs and recently had 2 lamps repaired. Alex was very knowledgeable and thorough and recommended changing the outdated and unsafe electrical cord on 1 of the lamps. He repaired both lamps quickly and charged fairly. I highly recommend Lighting World and look forward to working with their son Kris, an electrician, for some electrical needs.
