He was great at asking the right questions to gather all the requirements, worked well with the wedding photographer whom he had just met the day of wedding, showed up early and prepared, and was great at directing us and our families to get great shots. Has a good eye for how to capture the moment. He posted a short preview on socials and lots of people messaged us telling us how touch they were by just the preview. We had a great experience and besides the footage he took for us and video he edited, we will always remember that he was a part of our special day! Thanks Dominic!

But maybe it's not my vibe, because I felt like it was lacking in some ways, or perhaps it was just too big for our party size. I'm not sure. If you're considering renting Hot Shot Muffler, I'd say it's important to have a lot of direction with how you want to decorate/utilize the space. There's an open indoor and outdoor area (connected by a big garage door wall that opens). They allow you to bring in catering (we had a taco guy). Regardless, it was generally clean. There's a fun back area with some games. There's one gender-neutral restroom. Plenty of street parking in the adjacent streets and metered parking a few blocks out too.

Go just take a tour of this place and be amazed at all the work Scott and Dave have put into it. It's really remarkable and cool that you can come to a school that offers so much under one roof without all the pressure and BS most of these huge film schools put on you. Not only that, but for a fraction of the cost, I've not seen any other school that offers this in the LA area. A lot of them have folded and Sharp Focus has been around weathering the storm and providing hands-on practice for students in a small boutique environment at practically cost. You'd be a fool in the industry to not at least stop here and admire all the options and flexibility Scott and Dave provide to students. Seriously compare what you get here versus other schools and a great channel to network for jobs in many different fields. It's a small ask to say no to student loan debt... There are really some good people in the entertainment field not out to screw you - this place is a diamond in the rough.

I spoke with the owner in regard to the pacing of the class and how it did not leave enough time…read morerealistically for questions as well as how I was unable to learn because of the pace and jammed content into one routine (beginners 1/2 class mind you). Shonda (the instructor) did offer opportunities for questions, BUT although some of us were confused, if we stopped to ask questions every time we learned something new, realistically we wouldn't have gotten through the routine or the rest of the routine was going to be taught faster so that we would be able to get through it. I realize I am not the only student in the room so it's not fair of me to ask questions all throughout because that hinders everyone's experience and ability to learn the entire dance. Just being mindful. The owner tried giving me an emotional lesson that I should not fear to ask questions... totally wasn't hearing the constructive criticism and was blaming it on my inability to ask questions apparently. I'm open to trying a new instructor but have little hope in this establishment if that also does not go well.
