The coffee is not just good, it's really really good. In general, the French can make coffee just well. The coffee here, is exquisite! Good varieties, you can even add flavours (although, who would do that?!), but I know some of you coffee-drinking-devils like to infuse it with caramel, speculos, chocolate, mocca. They also have milkshakes, tea, softdrinks, and 'Viennoises' such as croissants, pain-au-chocolats, etc. Pay with cash or card (shocking!) and enjoy a little break after your descent / liquid courage before going up, on their cutest little terrace around the truck!

Every morning my husband and I would walk to Caffe Vergnano 1882 to have an espresso and croissant. The croissant was the flakiest I've ever had, and I've had some good ones. The espresso was delicious for a quick pick-me-up to continue your stroll around the old town. It's worth it.
