I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at La Fuente "winery". I put winery in parentheses because it's not really a winery, but a warehouse that distributes wine to restaurants around the area. We sat down and our wonderful hostess Cindy gave us a bit of Chardonnay to sip while we waited for the rest of the groups to arrive. It's not the prettiest of places (exposed insulation in the ceilings, giant AC unit above your head), but they spruced it up with chiffon and candles. When everyone arrived they brought out crackers, cheese, fruit, and almonds to snack on for the white wine courses, which included a Chardonnay and a Sauvignon Blanc. The red wine courses were paired with dark chocolate and a cheese enchilada (pretty good, but very plain). We had a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Merlot, and a Carmenere. Overall a very good experience. I liked that they don't blend their wines and every wine was made with 100% of its respective varietal. I will be returning!! Oh and the $26 for 2 people Groupon was great!!

Loved this wine! If you're a red wine drinker, it's a must try!

Me and 3 of my girlfriends went here this past Saturday to celebrate my birthday. We had reservations for the 4-6pm tasting class. Well due to the driver of our carpool and the traffic on 610 we were running very late. Next thing I know, I'm receiving a call from La Fuente checking on our arrival time. To my pleasant surprise, (I was getting kind of bummed while sitting in traffic because I realized that we were missing part of the class) Ms. Cynthia says over the phone that since we were close that she'd wait for us!!!!! OMG! I was so thankful for this! I couldn't believe that she waited 30 minutes for us to begin the presentation so we didn't wind up missing a thing. That is very uncommon! The outside/location doesn't do this place any justice. Pulling up we didn't know what to expect but again was pleasantly surprised once we entered the tasting room. It was very quaint and nicely decorated. On to Ms. Cynthia, I had spoken to her on the phone prior to this tasting class so I already knew that she was very pleasant. She is PERFECT for her job! She was extremely personable and made wine tasting light-hearted, fun and comfortable (as some places can be intimidating). Ms. Cynthia also gave myself, a girlfriend and another patron a free glass of Blanc to Blanc I believe it was since it was our birthdays! I would highly recommend a visit to this place! I plan on returning for date night!!!! You taste 5 wines but also have the option of trying additional wines of interest. They even sale by the glass!! Of course there are bottles available for purchase as well. The glass of wine (I had the Purple Malbec which was great!) was only $5. I thought this was very reasonable. And the bottles I believe range from $18-$20 for most. Great prices!!! The product is well worth the price!

One of the wines we tried along with the cheese, nuts, and fruits they provide.

The lady that thought the class was so nice and attentive, I was running a little late because of the rain one day and she waited for me (10 min) to start the class I thought that was so nice of her. They also have relatively reasonable prices for their bottles of wine if you like any of the 5 that you will sample.

Stopped by today during business hours and they were not even open. No notice or anything. What a waste of my time driving here.

The location was really nice, the private room was great and the vibes were awesome. Unfortunately, my experience with Nikki Harris, who is also listed as a general manager, has been the complete opposite. For months, I have been asking how I can actually receive my wines, and I have the emails to prove it. I never received a single response or clear direction. The whole communication around this has been terrible. When Nikki finally did reply, it was with a rude and dismissive message, one that I've attached here for transparency, without ever acknowledging my prior outreach. This is not the way paying customers should be spoken to or treated, especially when they have been spending money and not able to get clarity on their products. I had already canceled my membership before this exchange, but had I not, I certainly would have afterward. Her tone and lack of professionalism were unacceptable, and it made clear to me that she does not understand what respectful customer service looks like. She also had to backtrack on her email without even knowing the facts. The worst! I understand that closures and operational challenges happen, but respect and clear communication should never be optional. Unfortunately, Nikki Harris demonstrated neither.

They don't offer pours by the glass if you walk in and feature their membership, which is subscription based and looked great, but since we weren't local wasn't a good fit for us. The space was also pretty cute and we liked the high top setup that was great for our group. Check them out!

From the moment I walked into the heights home for my friend's birthday, Arielle greeted my friends with warmth and hospitality. The customer service was impeccable, and felt more like hanging with friend than a formal course as she shared how her and her husband started the business. What truly stood out were the lessons for novices like myself. Arielle took the time to explain each wine in detail, from its origin to its flavor profile, making sure we all better understood our own preferences and are able to order/ buy wines more confidently in the future. I left feeling like I had learned so much about wine, and for weeks have been telling everyone I know they must go learn from Everywine! The selection of wines was fantastic, ranging from crisp whites to bold reds, ensuring there was something for every palate. Each pour was expertly curated allowing us to explore a variety of styles and regions, surprising us with unique wines that didn't fit their conventional norms. Overall, I cannot recommend this winetasting experience enough for birthdays, bachelorettes or dates. Whether you're a seasoned wine connoisseur or a novice looking to learn more, this course is sure to delight and I'll be going back again asap for other classes. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

When my friend made the reservation, she received an email encouraging customers to visit the tasting room before or after dinner. We showed up an hour early to visit the tasting room, however the host had no idea what we were talking about. Turns out they weren't doing tastings. Luckily, we didn't have to wait to be seated. We initially had a table that was not near a heat lamp, however an employee came over and let us know that we could switch to a table near the heat lamp which was appreciated because it was chilly. Our server was Laura. She was nice and funny. They had $25 flight specials. I went with the Sayanara Flight which had white wines. I really enjoyed them and they weren't too sweet. My friend had an NA wine which she enjoyed. We ordered the Truffle Fries and Meatballs. Both dishes were tasty. I enjoyed the aioli that came with the fries. They had discounted wines for purchase. Not all bottles were 50% off, however the gentleman that we spoke to went ahead and gave me a 50% discount on both the rosé and pinot grigio that I purchased which was so appreciated! It seems like there are quite a few businesses around town that are closing. I'm sad to see Mutiny go, but I'm glad my friend and I got to dine in on their final night.

"Closing time, you don't have to go home But you can't stay…read morehere." - Semisonic I have lived in the loop for 5 years now, and I'm sad to say that I finally tried Mutiny on their last day. I often pass by it going through a shortcut to I-45 and sometimes going home around the area. It's literally a 5-minute drive. I booked reservations Friday since I saw they opened up the 31st on Resy. It wasn't earlier in the week, but I knew it was the last day, and my friend and I really wanted to try. I'm glad we made reservations because they were at capacity (150 person capacity) and weren't taking any walk ins. We got there early cause Resy suggested checking out the Tasting Room before or after the reservation time. We got there about an hour earlier, and the host said he didn't know anything about that except that the Tasting Room area was used for events. Interesting. We were seated earlier on the patio on this freezing evening. At first, we were at a table that didn't have a heat lamp, but when one freed up, they were so nice to suggest that we move closer to the heat lamp since they saw us shivering. Lol. We were thankful for that. I wore fleece lined jeans and brought gloves and a beanie anyway having been in the below freezing winter in London. Laura was our server and was kind and funny. So was this other guy who checked in every now and then. He made light of their last day situation. The dining area is so beautiful inside. I love the limestone-looking interior and chandeliers. Reminds me of Fredericksburg or something. They had many large groups and a few small groups of friends or couples dining on this last day. Way to go out with a bang. A lot of the wines were selling out or already sold out around 7-8 pm. We tried the truffle fries and Sicilian meatballs with focaccia bread. I like the thick cut of the fries and the black garlic aioli. It reminded me of yuca fries. The Sicilian meatballs were a bit small, peppery and salty. I wish the marinara was a little more tart. The focaccia helped cut through the saltiness. I had 2 glasses of the NA Sauvignon blanc which was light and a little tart. They ran out of the NA red blend. My friend ordered Sayonara, one of their farewell flights which were aptly named for "goodbye". It was a great night on the patio but chilly. My friend purchased a rosé and a Pinot Grigio as part of their Last Sail wines. Actually, the Pinot Grigio wasn't part of the sale, and he was going to take off 20%, but he also made it 50% off. So nice!! I'm glad we got to try them on their last day. Bon voyage, Mutiny.
