Signage is a little misleading because it's just a symbol...which I have learned from the waiter is a "fountain"... I didn't see the resemblance. You don't see the name until you get up to the entrance. Salsa is good, a tad spicy in a good way. Beer selection is a little light. Queso a little runny, but tasty. Video below. Chicken tacos were loaded with shredded chicken. Alcapuco salad was light on the chicken and cauliflower loaded with carrots. Not a good choice if you are trying to cut down on sugar or carbs. Stopped here on 01/06/24 because it was one of the only places open at 7:30pm. The service was slow and it took a good ten minutes before someone came and took our order. I ordered the Relleno plate that came with rice and refried beans. My wife ordered the tropical vegetarian fajitas. The food came fairly quickly, but this is where things started to go bad. The sautéed vegetables in my wife's fajita plate were soggy and not fresh and they looked as if they had been precooked and just warmed up for the dish. My relleno plate was not much better. The rellenos were quite large and covered in a red chili sauce. They were crispy and hot on the outside, but lukewarm and uncooked on the inside. In fact some of the cheese that was stuffed into the poblano pepper was completely uncooked/not melted. It looked like they had been premade, frozen and thrown into a hot fryer and not cooked long enough and had a lukewarm warm red chili sauce slopped on them. I waited for waiter to come back and check to see how our meal tasted so I could show him the undercooked food. He never came, in fact he never returned until he brought our check. I then showed him the rellenos and he said he wouldn't charge me for them. I guess that was the one positive about the evening. We left the restaurant disappointed and still hungry, because most of the food was inedible. read more

If you really like carrots and brocolli stems then the Acapulco is for you! The rice was overcooked and the chicken was just a bunch of pieces and parts of a breast, I'm not sure if it was an entire chicken breast or not. You're in luck if you like queso because you can drink theirs (if you like salt). I wish I took pictures. read more

Had to call it a night after 14hrs so checked into the Comfort Inn for the night before I head back to Des Moines in the am. The guy behind the desk recommended this place to me. Not that far of a walk so I gave it a shot! Definitely worth it, it started out kinda slow but the were just getting over dinner rush when I walked in. Took a lil to seat me and take a drink order but after that the rest was great. I ordered the Mexican street tacos that comes with 3 tacos and a side of rice and beans. I'm not much on rice of beans so asked to hold off on them. Then asked for some sprinkled cheese on top. I also got a side of queso to go with the delicious chips and of course add it to my tacos. I was really shocked when he brought my plate out he had them put 4 on cause I waited a lil and asked to leave the sides off. He was quick on my refills. Definitely will be back if I'm in town again. I'm still going to give them a 5star even though it didn't reflect that today but I think this place deserves a 5 read more

Excellent and consistent. Changed weight staff a few months ago and I really miss them but customer service is always excellent.

I rarely have salsa because I generally don't care for it, but this salsa is so good. Fresh chips. They have great traditional Mexican dishes, and some I have never had elsewhere. My favorite is the Pollo La Fuente - which is grilled chicken, steak, bacon, shrimp, chorizo, rice, smothered in queso. I'm not from the area, but every time I'm passing through because it is so good. read more

Food had little to no flavor or spice. Ordered their chicken soup, which used to be one of my "go to" meals at La Fuente. I was very disappointed. Previously the soup had a deep rich broth, but this time it had little to no taste. If you like you Mexican food bland, then you may like La Fuente. I went to La Fuente in Kearney on Friday at about noon, I purchased the taco salad. There was a lot of variety in the food with a lot of options to select from. The server was very nice to me and my group. Although it seemed like he was distracted by other workers talking to them, the quality of the food was good, with good taste and good amount of food. The workers were fast when they needed to be which is a good thing for the customers. The building had a very Mexican-esque design to it inside and out. It is kind of tough to get to because you have to go behind Quick Trip and through the roundabout, other than that the spots were really easy to get into with my F-250 meaning that a normal car should have no problem pulling in and out of the parking spots. It was very clean once you get inside of the restaurant. Their online services are good, they have online curbside pickup along with a touchless online menu. On Friday their hours were pretty good being from 11 am- 10 pm. My taco salad cost $10.39 it had guacamole, but I did not feel like it was a bad price for what I received. It tasted quite good . I chose to pay with my debit card at the front of the doors. There were limited discounts if any at all, there are a lot of ways to pay and there are a lot of different priced items all throughout the menu. The food we received was quite good and smelled delicious on its way to our table. When it arrived it was hot and tasted good. The other items on the menu looked good but I did not get them. This business has no Instagram to promote themselves on, but they do have a Facebook which they use for promotion. I feel like they don't have that many advertisements. It's more or less you see their building and want to go there. They don't particularly have coupons but they do have specials written up sometimes and they are usually a good deal. Mostly being lunch specials but they are pretty cheap for what you get on the specials. Their Facebook tells you their location and has a few pictures on there. The best part of my experience at La Fuente Mexican restaurant in Kearney was that they were very speedy with taking our order and how quick we received our order. We were seated and had our food within 15 minutes. They made sure to fill our chips and drinks while we were waiting for our food to be done. The worst part about La Fuente is they don't have very good social media to promote themselves more because they were very good for the cost. I would recommend La Fuente to other people because they were speedy, nice and a good price. read more

We have been here several times. It's all rights. I don't feel it's authentic Mexican but more if a franchise Mexican place. The meat is always kind of bland, no seasoning so you rely on the sauces or toppings to taste good. The mixed drinks are hit or miss. I would recommend this place only if you want something in the area and don't want to drive to liberty to find another place but if you're up for the 7 minute drive I'd find someplace in Liberty to eat at. read more

This has always from the very beginning been a 5+ star place for both food and service. Tonight from 5:05 until we walked out at 5:43 we only were served chips and drinks! We told them we were leaving and they said they were just very busy and did ticket as they came. However we watched others who came in much later than us get food! We even had a second waiter come and ask us if we wanted to order and we told him we had ordered and where was our food. He didn't come back. We LOVE this place! The waiters know you by name here and they try to remember your order every time. That's the kind of service every place needs. They all go out of their way to make sure your needs are met. We haven't had a thing on the menu we don't love. I live the enchiladas and the taco salad. I can't believe this place touts itself as "AUTHENTIC MEXICAN" We will start with my Chili Relleno, beautiful on the outside, empty on the inside. No cheese inside or out. Strike one. The fried tacos next. One tomato slice for 3 tacos. 2 tablespoons guacamole, about 1 tablespoon shredded queso, 2 CUPS shredded lettuce. No seasoning. Strike two. The Mexican Chili. Ground beef (I'm used to pork), refried beans, and a small amount of enchilada sauce mixed in. Served with two packages of saltines, why I don't know, because it was a gloppy mess. Strike three. If you are a fan of Taco Bell type food, this is the place for you. Otherwise, travel a 1/4 mile up the road to Los Tules. A bit closer to being authentic. read more

THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD AROUND! This may sound strange, but we eat here at least once a week, if not twice. The food is plentiful and delicious. Priced better than you'll get most anywhere else. They've recently added Burritos Al Pastore to their menu card at the table and the meat is just perfect. Their margaritas come in pitchers or huge glasses and you always get a little bit extra because they bring your frozen glasses to the table half full when they bring your pitcher. Don't worry if you get there and there's a huge line waiting---they will get to you soon. Service is super fast and they're the nicest folks in town. You get what you order, your ticket reflects what you order and you feel like you've gotten a great deal for your $$$. They deserve a million stars. read more

If you hop off the highway in Kearney Mo just north of Liberty, you are in for a treat. Liberty has a million places to eat but if you are craving Mexican, stay on 35 for a little while longer and head to La Fuentes. We have loved this place since the first time we have eaten there. Great food, the entire staff is friendly, prompt, and attentive. Good is great! I have yet to try something I did not like. We are a family of 6 (4 younger kids) and this is a regular stop for us. We love it. My only criticism would be that the tables are closely packed together. But even when that place is crowded, they are cranking out the meals! Love this place and it's and easy 5 star review for me!! read more
