Overall the food was fine but personally I found it too expensive for what they are. (I was never a cheap eater btw). I had the green tagliolini with culatello was a bit too salty and too buttery while the ravioli neri with shrimp was delicious. My part we had the chicken dish was okay but a bit dry. The amuse bouche with parmigiana cream was yummy. The service was fine and friendly. If one doesn't look at the price tags, then go try it out.

This downtown seafood specialist is a very fine chice indeed, especially if you're looking for a slightly more formal sit-down dinner. Reservations are recommended on weekend evenings during peak times though you should be able to snag something if you're not too picky. The host was very courteous and the staff professional and attentive. We weren't exactly starving after I had two lunches of cold cuts and more cold cuts, respectively. So I took this as an opportunity to try out a couple of more off-beat dishes: eggplant parm (the most refined version I've ever had, with smoked scamorza cheese and tomato sauce), and the famed pesto di cavallo (horse tartare). Both were outstanding, though the horse portion was a bit larger than I needed. Paired with a delicious half bottle of wine, it was an outstanding sit-down affair.

A very nice and elegant restaurant ! We came here 3 years ago and the food and service was amazing, this visit proved they're still a great restaurant ! We started with the Torta Fritta (my favorite!) and Prosciutto di Parma, both very good! Then we split the Tortelli di Zucca which was so delicious, a balance of sweet and salty! We also split the Duchessa di Parma, which was also delicious and cooked very well! We finished with the Tiramisu, so yummy and the perfect size! They also have a HUGE selection of great wine! The staff are very nice, patient and helpful! The inside is very fancy, and intimate. I would recommend eating here! You should also make a reservation ahead of time !!

Off to a great start with a pleasant experience in making reservations in English & smooth sailing into our table. We started with the Parmesan cheese soufflé & the eggplant- both were absolutely outstanding. The soufflé was the perfect blend of creamy goodness that one had to completely finish every morsel. Next came an artistic & fresh mixed salad topped by local olive oil & balsamic vinegar. The panko encrusted tuna lacked flavor & seasoning, two orders of medium steak both came out rare, unsalted, but potatoes were the shining stars on the plate. The kitchen did create a 3rd round of steak which came late in the meal. Shrimp ravioli was creative & tasty. Desserts included the chocolate soufflé which was beautiful presentation. The toast to Parma with dense but light lavender mousse was polished off.

Absolutely lovely! I had a salad and the Duchess of Parma - rolled veal with Parma ham and Parmesan cheese Ina bed of spinach. It was divine. The tiramisu was a perfect ending. The service was outstanding. Highly recommend.

Heavenly, a good start to a culinary tour! The risotto with Gorgonzola cream sauce and truffle was excellent! Certainly a must if your in Parma!

Rather quiet but very elegant restaurant. Very good service, quick and attentive. We went for lunch, mixed salumi starter disappeared very quickly, it was followed by various kinds of pasta, which were excellent. During my week in Parma that was one better places I happened to visit, I can only strongly recommend!

Some of the best house prosecco I had while in Parma. Delicious torte fritte, parmigiano and tortelli. We enjoyed the service and the food.

We were greeted by friendly staff and escorted to our table. Both Italian and English menus were available. The restaurant is small and nicely decorated. Bread and breadsticks were given. We ordered a bottle of wine and checked out the menu. Our server was nice and helped us with choosing food items. The first course was Antipasto dello Zingaro. ( Cold meats ) Our second course was Tortelli di Erbette. (Ravioli stuff with spinach and Parmesan cheese) which was the best Ravioli we have ever had. Next was new meat for us to try. HORSE MEAT. Tris di Cavallo. Presented 3 ways. RAW. Roasted and Tartare. We liked the first two. But the Tartare was not for us. This dish came with roast potatoes. The restaurant got busy during our visit. I would recommend making a reservation. The decor was fresh and clean. With many Italian fixtures. The noise level was low when we visited, but sure, it could be higher on the weekends. We highly recommend a visit or two.

I had the pumpkin gnocchi with truffles - they were perfect. Also tried the pasta fagioli, which was delicious as well (reminded me of my grandmother's!) The tiramisu was light and creamy. I'd go back again and again! The wait staff were so kind as well. I do not speak Italian and was fumbling through using Google translate and they were very patient and gracious. (Note: the menu is in italian so you'll need to translate it if you don't speak the language). We were also given plenty of time to sit and chat and enjoy a leisurely meal. No rush to leave. VERy simple, and I mean 1980's restaurant style in Italy. It was all grannies and Italian families on the Saturday that we were there. The place is bigger than it looks, with an outside garden and main dining room. The kitchen is bustling with Italian ladies who look like they were born making fresh pasta, which I loved. The menu offers typical favorites like prosciutto (we are in Parma!) torta fritta which are pillows of fried dough so good you'll eat them all. We followed that with two heaping (huge portions) of pasta, I got a ravioli stuffed with herbs and cheese and covered in a parmigiana, which was very light (satire). There is a guy with a bollito cart (boiled meats) that was kind of hilarious, I mean how many times in your life are you going to see some dude carting around a selection of meats in broth from table to table, that's Italy. We ordered the house lambrusco which frankly sucked but house wine can do that, my recommendation get a bottle. Awesome experience, very old-school, I'd wager this place is a bit of a find among locals. I wouldn't recommend this for a romantic date because of the bright lighting but they are very dog-friendly, in fact I think they preferred our dog over us. Ginger wins them all..

The restaurant is located in a piazza below the street along with a supermarket. The service was excellent. Our servers could speak English so that helped us. A seating area and a bar are on the piazza. The area was heated. A large grill was also outside with a someone grilling meats. We sat inside at a long communal table. It had an old school Italian trattoria vibe. It was softly lit. We ordered the Lambrusco since it is the local Specialty. We were surprised that it came in a good sized bowl rather than a wine glass We actually thought it was soup lol The Lambrusco is much different in Italy. It has a light effervescence and is well bodied. The Tortellini in beef broth is also a local dish. The broth was Ric with a lot of beef flavor. The tortellini had a beef filling. It was delicious. We had pumpkin and a cheese ravioli. Both were delicious. For the entree I had the beef. It was excellent. It was very tender and had a rich gravy on top of potatoes. The roasted onion and tomato added a delicious flavor.
