We placed our order at the counter, and the server offered to bring the food upstairs for us, seeing us talking about heading up to get a glass of wine. So we were able to find a good spot to sit close to the bar area, and shortly after our hot dogs arrived. Top marks for the service! The Carolina Dog was a hit, as was the brat with mustard and beer cheese sauce. It was a little hard to find silverware and napkins once we were seated away from the counter, so don't forget to grab some before you head to a table. Great experience overall.

All of the other food stalls were active with prep but not Farm Dogs. Lights started going on in other stalls at 11:30 but not at FD. At 11:35 a gentleman came out from the back and flipped the lights on. I approached the counter about a minutes later. There special hot dog in the moment had Highland Brewery Beer Cheese, yellow mustard, bacon bits, and onions. I ordered that (minus the onions) and 3 pretzel knots with Lusty Monk mustard. I waited for a bit then my order was called. The pretzel knots looked great and they were really hot. I started with the hot dog. It was good. The only thing I really tasted was the beer cheese and it was tasty. I love a mustard and took a big dip of the pretzel knot into the Lusty Monk mustard and my mouth exploded. That mustard had a pretty strong kick. Not in a way I disliked but it just surprised me. I kept dipping and nearly had a tear fall from that spicy mustard but it was good. Overall, I enjoyed what I had but nothing wowed me. The food hall would be a great place to return to with a group so everyone could get something they wanted.

We passed Celebrity's Hotdogs on the way to the trolls, and agreed to give it a try on the way home. We arrived around 2:30, so definitely off peak dining time, which was nice. We walked in and right up to the counter, and after a quick review of the menu went with a #1, a hot dog all the way, chips and a canned drink for $6! I explored the space a little while I waited for them to call my order number. The walls are covered floor to ceiling with nascar memorabilia...well, even parts of the ceiling. Not my thing, but I know others will appreciate it The food didn't take long, and it hit the spot. Tasty dog, generous toppings, friendly staff and a great price. Honestly, this probably best deal you'll get in Asheville. I'd definitely recommend this spot to others traveling in the area, especially on a budget.

This little food truck offers an amazing experience you can't get anywhere else in Asheville:…read morePeruvian style Pollo a la Brasa, rotisserie chicken marinated with Peruvian chiles and spices. If you think you can get something similar at a Mexican restaurant or by buying a grocery store rotisserie chicken with chipotle seasoning, you are so wrong. This is truly a thing unto itself, and it is delicious. I've had it pulled off the bone and served with rice and vegetables at other Peruvian restaurants outside of Asheville, but to have it mostly on its own, with sauces, a side of fries, salad, tortillas or rice, really enables you to appreciate the chicken for its amazing self. It's marinated overnight and during the rotisserie process, too, so it's not just the crispy, slightly charred skin that tastes of the spices and chiles, it's also the juicy, tender meat inside. It has a nice smoky flavor as well. Not hot spicy (unless you dip it in the red sauce from here, which is fire!). They also provided a creamy avocado sauce, which is great mixed with the red sauce to lower the heat just a little and give it some contrast. The fries are also great dipped into these sauces. The whole chicken with 3 sides was enough to feed three of us (all pretty big eaters) with some leftovers. The service was warm and friendly. There are 3 outdoor picnic tables by the side of the truck, but this is a place to get wonderful food to go that you can't get anywhere else in Asheville. So it enjoy at home or on a picnic someplace in the woods or a park. They also have dishes that are more traditionally Mexican (tacos, stuffed tortillas) and weirdly, also bratwurst. I'm not sure how this got in the mix, but they are from South America and a lot of Germans did immigrate there. We'll definitely be back. The problem will be convincing ourselves to try anything else when the Peruvian chicken is just so dang good.

The same classic local spot where you know you are going to leave full and satisfied. What stood out most was the staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind. We placed an order for seven people, and every single item was made correctly. Nothing was missed, and everything was fresh and exactly as ordered. We will definitely be back. There is a small stream running behind the restaurant making for a nice setting but eating outside you will have some road noise. They are known for their cheeseburger, Reuben, and Philly cheesesteak, according to the owner. Accordingly, we ordered a Reuben, cheesesteak, cheeseburger, and hamburger, plus a basket of fries and a side of onion rings. Even during the lunch rush the food only took about ten minutes to be brought to our table. The Reuben contained plenty of meat on a marbled rye bread. The sauerkraut was present but not overwhelming and there was plenty of cheese for a cheese pull. This was a very good sandwich. The cheesesteak was another winner. There was a good amount of meat and plenty of cheese. The added peppers and onions took it over the top. Both the cheeseburger and hamburger were also very good. The meat is seasoned and flavorful, the added lettuce and onion fresh, and the bun soft. The basket of fries easily satisfied two people. The fries were meaty and a little crispy. The onion rings were also good, with a soft onion inside a crispy batter. It can get a little noisy inside when they get busy, but the service is impeccable and friendly. We were checked on several times to make sure we were enjoying our food. Once you have eaten here, this is the type of place you look forward to returning to often.
