We vetted several places before our trips, and each time our dogs stayed here, they came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. The staff is exceptional, genuinely kind, and attentive, which shows in every interaction. The facility itself is spacious, and we loved that they walk the dogs right at drop off to help them get acclimated and comfortable. During our recent holiday trip, our teenage son checked in on them, and the staff happily texted photos of the pups playing in the snow and having the time of their lives. Grooming was another highlight. Both dogs came home freshly trimmed, brushed, and looking fantastic. The only drawback is not having a live camera system to check in visually while you're away, which would add an extra layer of reassurance, though we fully trust they're in great hands. Overall, it's comforting to know our pets get a luxurious staycation when we're gone, and judging by their happy returns, they're just as spoiled there as they are at home. What can I say? I got a great recommendation for some dehydrated goats milk to help him deal with his allergies that has worked great. I am terrible with names but the staff was clearly invested in making sure your dog gets what they need. I will be sure to book Buddy another full groom next time we're in the area. When we pulled up, we were a little skeptical of the curbside pick up, due to Covid-19, but we called & the vet tech came out to pick up Lemmy, our Boston terrier. He had some swelling on his neck that was not going down. She was very friendly & understanding of our concerns. When they were done, she came back out with Lemmy & the vet (don't remember their names). The vet was wonderful & explained everything to us! The vet tech stayed & chatted with us for a few minutes. Couldn't think of a better way to spend a few hours on a Christmas Day. Scheduling our visit was a breeze and the drive to the place is easy and just one hour away from Minneapolis. From the very first moment you can tell Jack and his brother are very passionate about Siberian huskies and related topics and have lots of cool stories from their lives with these beautiful dogs. There are about 15 gorgeous huskies on their land. Even though there wasn't a ton of snow in December, they did everything possible to make sure we were having a great time with the dogs. We would definitely recommend this place and it's perfect for groups, families, couples, and everyone who likes outdoorsy adventures and isn't afraid of cold weather :)

They took us for one short loop and thats it. We drove over an hour to ride on a sled pulled by dogs who seemed exhausted. The trail was super slushy. We had reservations so they knew customers were coming. If your dogs cant pull through mushy snow then groom your trails. The dogs stopped multiple times. It was bizarre. The slow stop and go ride was only about 7 minutes. Umm really? Subpar experience for sure.

First time was not a fantastic experience as my dog got bathroom sick right after returning home from being there. Second time now and my dog was completely sheered and choppy made to look like a rescue dog. I agree he had some matting but not to the extreme they took it too. No time was spent to comb out Matts or make him look like a poodle! His feet were atrocious and one foot bloody. His ears were radically cleaned and not dried which ended up with a bacterial infection and a vet bill of 100$. This business will not take any responsibility for the trauma my poor dog has endured.

It's a mill, located along the Sauk River, where it enters into the Mississippi. You can find every kind of animal food (cat, dog, duck, goose, poultry, swine, horse, cow, songbird, sheep) here. I love the way the place smells - like hearty grains like oats and wheat and more. Best of all, I like the employees. It still feels like a small town when you go in here, look at the handwritten board, and tell them what you want, or if you're like me, ask them what I should be feeding a particular animal. Then they go get the bag and will even place it in your car or truck for you. Another nice feature is the bulletin board (pictured), where people have animals, hay, and more to buy and sell. I hope we never lose this place. It's a real gem.
