I had a very disappointing experience at this boutique during a thunderstorm. My friend and I…read moreinitially came in to shop, not to change my baby, but due to the weather and the fact that my baby had a dirty diaper, I briefly stepped out to grab supplies from my car and planned to quickly and discreetly change her in the fitting room. When I returned, a staff member approached us immediately and pulled back the changing room curtain, and without any greeting or courtesy, said, "No, absolutely not. You're not going to change her here. We don't want any accidents." The tone was abrupt and dismissive. When I explained that it was pouring rain outside, she told me, "Can't you just change her in the car?" I reiterated the weather conditions, and she responded, "It's okay, you'll figure it out." There was no attempt to be understanding, no effort to offer an alternative--just a blunt refusal delivered in a rude and inconsiderate manner. To make matters worse, after addressing us this way, she turned to another customer and apologized to them, which felt humiliating and unnecessary. As a parent, I understand businesses have policies, but there is a respectful and compassionate way to communicate them. This interaction lacked basic courtesy and empathy. I left feeling embarrassed and unwelcome, and unfortunately, I will not be returning.
