I wasn't exactly in the mood for a large breakfast, because I have plans later with someone for the Chinese buffet. I got just two pastries, one concha rellana, and one taco de cajeta. I have had conchas a thousand times before, but this one actually had a filling, and it was quite delicious. The service here this morning was a little dissappointing. There were two young employees, male and female, working behind the counter and neither of them seemed interested in helping me. The female was glued to her cellphone, and the male didn't want to move at all. I had to ask him three times if he could come over and help me. I realize that they are both young, but I would think that this place would be better served with more motivated employees, who actually care about helping customers.

Came during a weekday afternoon and there was no one in the store and also there seemed to be still a lot of food left as it wasn't very empty. - Strawberry Cake - This one was a real winner as the cake was so soft despite it looking like it has sat in the fridgerator forever. The cake was very moist and the strawberries helped lightened up the flavors very much. - Tres Leches - I didn't like this one as much but like the strawberry cake, I appreciate how light and fluffy the cake itself was. Also I appreciate how moist the cake was as it soaked up all the milk that was not too sweet. I highly recommend coming here for sweets and desserts. I can't really vouch for the baked goods though.

They didn't have a lot on display so I picked out what I thought would be good for everyone. I bought the Grande Panque de nuez that we will get into right away, and also the gelatina pie (jello pie) that will be served on Wednesday. I actually wanted to also get a concha to snack on right now but I stopped myself because I have been eating a lot lately. However the conchas that I saw did look very tasty. The ambiance was rather plain and it wasn't difficult asking for help to box up the two large cakes.
