Before calling La Crosse Fireplace, I made the mistake of calling another fireplace company in the area to come out and perform some maintenance on my two gas fireplaces that were not functioning as they should. This other company rhymes with "Warming Trends" and they came out and did nothing to help the functionality issues, and then charged me for two seasonal cleanings I did not ask for. I then called La Crosse Fireplace. Tim knew right away what the issue was and sent out a technician to verify. He diagnosed the ignitor as faulty, ordered the new part and came out on our schedule to installed it. Fantastic customer service. I have been working with The family for 23 years on our homes and fireplace needs. It has been nothing but the best in every scenario. The customer service has always been top notch. They are a busy company and there reason they are is cause they are so sought after. They have always had a timeline to get things done and barring any issues with product availability, etc they have been awesome!. I love that when I walk in or when my wife and I walk in we can look around without a pushy salesperson and they just stop by and check on you to answer questions. The install team for the fireplaces (both gas and wood) plus the outdoor solutions they have for fireplaces, cooking and entraining equipment is top notch. Our family had been loyal customers for many years and the company founder Dan P. was the best. Dan passed and the son took over. Things have been downhill ever since. After a rough and rocky install on a pellet stove they refused to service the unit which is now sitting idle and inoperable. Stay far away from this place. read more

take your money elsewhere to a company that actually cares about the customer! in my line of work customer service matters ! and it matters a lot! we walked in to the store no one greeted us , after 35 minutes no one even said, " we will be right with you"... nothing. i called the store previously and left a voicemail message with dan and got zero response. we took our business elsewhere and i am getting the word out to others to do the same. a smile and good customer service skills will go a long way. your employees have some learning to do , maybe they should take a class? read more

My purchase experience was pleasant. I like my stove and stone. I was told this stove pipe needs to be cleaned once per year. After just a couple of months of burning we had a problem. I then experienced an issue with a fire in the stove pipe. I called Lacrosse Fireplace to discuss. They were not interested in finding an answer as to to why. The owner/manager was rude and condescending. I hired another company and they said our roof pipe was too short.The stove was not getting adequate draft. LaCrosse Fireplace had no interest in helping find solutions. I would not use them, nor would I recommend them. read more

I have worked with LaCrosse Fireplace for a number of years. I am extremely happy with everything they have done for me! They replaced our gas fireplace with a wood burning unit that is beautiful! They are installed a gas fireplace in our basement room. Again, very happy with look and efficiency of that unit. Fan warms entire basement. Then, a few years ago, they installed a gas fireplace table on our deck. We have enjoyed countless hours around it and recommend anyone to look at the outdoor fire tables. If I could give zero stars I would! This place is ridiculous. We needed two stoves worked on, when the service man arrived he was rude, unpleasant, and just an overall ass. He was complaining the entire time. On one stove he swung the door open so hard he shattered an outlet on the wall. Did not replace! On that same stove he screwed up the exhaust so much that it needed to be replaced. They want to charge an outrageous amount to fix three feet of exhaust that they broke. We will never have them come to our residence again! read more

I was dissatisfied with my experience at LaCrosse Fireplace. The owner did drive several miles to the house where a gas fireplace was recently insatalled and did not charge for that. We were dissatisfied with the apprearance of the silver termination cap which sticks out from the chimney about 7 7/8" so he suggested a different one that he said was "about half as deep." The other termination cap was actually 7 3/8" deep, almost as large as the silver one. Also, he said he would give us an estimate for properly routing the exhaust up to the top of the chimney, instead of vented out the side. When I called him over 1 week later, he said he was "not interested" in doint that. I asked him why he didn't tell us that he was not providing the estimate he promised and he said "I'm telling you now." He did not refer anybody else either. So now we are stuck with an ugly, dangerously low termination cap and nowhere to go to get it fixed! read more
