Instead of using common sense, staff told me I couldn't be in the space without a reservation despite the fact that it was sitting vacant and I had one starting shortly. To top it off, the room before mine had a no-show and still nobody used any flexibility or judgment. Just rigid rule enforcement with zero consideration for the people actually trying to use the space. The library was closed for over a year for a remodel -- and this is the hospitality we come back to. Disappointing. Leadership should revisit how staff interact with patrons who are clearly there in good faith. Plus it looks the same, barely changed a thing. Take a peek for a laugh, but I wouldn't come Here. And yes, this is what your hard money went to. Millions of dollars wasted for this "improvement" and hospitality. Please...

I've been coming here to study and it's been wonderful! You…read moredon't need a library card to come in and use their WiFi or to reserve a room but I'm sure the process is simple and quick. There are multiple tables and work areas to use and almost every table will have an outlet attached or within reach. They do not allow any food in the library but drinks are okay- I bring in coffee or matcha without any problems. Reserved rooms are for 2 hours but the wait can be a while so sign up early! The remaining areas are pretty quiet to work in but it does get louder than library noise from 3-5pm on weekdays when the students from the nearby school come in. Bathrooms are clean and it feels pretty safe. Definitely would recommend anyone who needs a place to get their work done.

It's extremely annoying. Additionally, stop allowing people to ruin the computers and surrounding areas. If I'm sitting at a computer, the person next to me shouldn't be sitting there with filthy papers, tearing them up and making a huge mess everywhere. And lastly CLEAN THE LIBRARY. It reeks in there and the computers are disgusting. The keyboards are visibly dirty. The keys are brown. The security guard was sat at a desk the entire time not patrolling or anything. Do better.

This has become as of now, my favorite public library. I just recently found out that you can rent…read morebooks via kindle. Not that I have one but it's pretty cool considering this electronics age we live in! Located right next to Lynwood City Hall and CVS, Lynwood library also has a vast variety of books, audio tapes, videos and such. They do have computers that you can use. They have 2 in particular that are 15 minutes usage time only. I have seen kids go way beyond the 15 minutes alloted time. The staff here have always been helpful whenever I have had any questions. They also do have storytime for kids. It is a great place overall for the family to come to. It's much better to have kids involved in reading books than it is to have them do stupid things in the streets.

Hello, my kids went on a field trip today with their childcare provider. She was trying to get…read morelibrary cards for the small group of kids. Andrea Crow told her when asked "Is it for all of them? Are you the aquarian because you have to provide court ordered documentation to prove gaurdienshiop for a card!" Andrea rude, angry, aggressive,& very much racist. Her @ a darker skinned latin male kept giving nasty looks to the children while they were there. Andrea even came around to the computers later and said "Is this the card holder of the library card on the computer?" My provider said "No"! Just fyi it was my 9 year old child at the computer the card belonged to the providers husband. She went off yelling "You can't do that! Only the card holder can use the computer!" I went to the library an hour later and got a nice older lady. I asked her what I needed for the kids to get a card? She said just your drivers license. So Andrea and the male there are antiblack & they are mistreating customers, denying them access due to their hatred, to the extent of lying to not be able to give them services we pay for as tax payers. Andrea & the younger latin male need to be fired. Their hatred is unsafe for any child to be around.

The library is incredibly small, almost reminiscent of a walk-in closest. I can see myself coming back, as long as I get passed the thought that there is not much space between me and loud visitors. This library is really small, so keep in mind that there is really no quiet or isolated space if that is what you are looking for to get work done. There will likely be encounters with toddlers running and their loud screeches. This place is more of a quick stop. DVDs are available for rent fo FREE with library card. Need a county library number for Wi-Fi access (not sure if there's a guest pass). El Camino College Compton Center on the other hand allows 24 hrs of free Wi-Fi guest access. First 10 printouts per day are fo FREE with library card also

Just return it or ask to renew it when the 6 weeks is up! How cool! The county def has benefits. This library is nice and quite in a so so neighborhood but good for the community to bring their kids here. Stuff is nice.
