Instead of using common sense, staff told me I couldn't be in the space without a reservation despite the fact that it was sitting vacant and I had one starting shortly. To top it off, the room before mine had a no-show and still nobody used any flexibility or judgment. Just rigid rule enforcement with zero consideration for the people actually trying to use the space. The library was closed for over a year for a remodel -- and this is the hospitality we come back to. Disappointing. Leadership should revisit how staff interact with patrons who are clearly there in good faith. Plus it looks the same, barely changed a thing. Take a peek for a laugh, but I wouldn't come Here. And yes, this is what your hard money went to. Millions of dollars wasted for this "improvement" and hospitality. Please...

There are multiple tables and work areas to use and almost every table will have an outlet attached or within reach. They do not allow any food in the library but drinks are okay- I bring in coffee or matcha without any problems. Reserved rooms are for 2 hours but the wait can be a while so sign up early! The remaining areas are pretty quiet to work in but it does get louder than library noise from 3-5pm on weekdays when the students from the nearby school come in. Bathrooms are clean and it feels pretty safe. Definitely would recommend anyone who needs a place to get their work done.

I was assisted by the male staff here who gave me great tips especially with handling multiple library cards!! (I had to open a library card here as I didnt have one for this branch!) There's outlets everywhere, even next to chairs, which are super handy. Reminds me of my university library with how modern the lighting and furniture is, but way cleaner!! Lots of activities and clubs too over here such as Lego club or Chess club. Just gotta pay attention to the many flyers being displayed around. The hours here are pretty good and the Wifi speed is pretty handy. I don't really pay attention to how loud or quiet it is in here since I usually just keep headphones/earphones on.

The librarian staff were so friendly and helped me out in creating an account, sharing the resources provided, and I was able to print out my necessary documents!!! Super grateful that there was this small cozy and clean library around!! Want to also appreciate that they were open exactly on time!! I've had experiences with public libraries where they DELAY in opening their doors despite scheduled hours. This has become as of now, my favorite public library. I just recently found out that you can rent…read morebooks via kindle. Not that I have one but it's pretty cool considering this electronics age we live in! Located right next to Lynwood City Hall and CVS, Lynwood library also has a vast variety of books, audio tapes, videos and such. They do have computers that you can use. They have 2 in particular that are 15 minutes usage time only. I have seen kids go way beyond the 15 minutes alloted time. The staff here have always been helpful whenever I have had any questions. They also do have storytime for kids. It is a great place overall for the family to come to. It's much better to have kids involved in reading books than it is to have them do stupid things in the streets.

I arrived about an hour after they opened. The library is on the smaller side but offers a fair amount of seating, and each table has charging ports, which is convenient. Everything was very clean, and the bathrooms were spotless, which is always a plus. It was quiet when I arrived, but not long after, it got quite loud with kids. Unfortunately, the children's area isn't separated from the adult study area, which made it hard to concentrate. I understand kids will be kids, but it feels like some parents treat this as a playground for their kids to run around. The sound echoes throughout the library, making it even harder to focus. Another thing to note: while Yelp says this location is closed until 2033, that's not the case -- the library is very much open! If you're looking for a quiet place to get work done, this might not be the best spot. It's a shame because, although small, the library is beautifully remodeled inside. They do offer study rooms, but they aren't first come, first serve -- everything was booked even though no one had arrived yet. I'd probably come back but would consider bringing noise-canceling headphones next time to minimize the activity around me.

Just return it or ask to renew it when the 6 weeks is up! How cool! The county def has benefits. This library is nice and quite in a so so neighborhood but good for the community to bring their kids here. Stuff is nice.
