Gayle and I recently had a pleasant Lunch at La Cort. The restaurant has 2 outdoor patios, in which we sat inner village side. In between is a series of attractive dining areas. We ordered the "Menú del Dia", which included mussels, paella, and dessert. And of course we ordered a bottle of wine to share with all this tasty food.
The patio was pleasant (and in the shade), service was attentive, and as a bonus who struck up a nice conversation with a Catalan couple, who nicely made it clear that they weren't Spanish. And when they found out that we'd also been to Donostia, they opined that the Basques were really the original Spaniards. It's always nice to learn some cultural nuance as part of a good meal. read more
