We had lunch here today 6/12. We were a little worried after seeing previous reviews. We had prompt service at our table to get a coffee order in. When our waiter brought us our coffee (Latte), we ordered our food. We had the Cod loin and backed chicken, we received our order in a reasonable amount of time. Our food was hot and fresh. Since we are from the states I would have like a larger portion, but what we did get was excellent. Since we were at Michel it as a tad expensive, but hey that is the going rate. Do not be dismayed. Give it a try. PS. Out latte was excellent.

Absolutely horrible! We waited and waited and waited and never even got a menu to look at. We eventually just got up and left.

So many varieties of food and all six dishes ordered by our party were amazing. Service was excellent and prompt. Trust me. This is the spot. Don't miss out on the panna cotta.

There were plenty of seats for lunch but dinner got crowded quick so go right at opening or make reservations. Beautiful indoor decor, friendly & attentive service, they constantly refilled our waters & they had many gluten free options including crepes. They were so thoughtful to bring bread for my family & gluten free mini crepes for me. My favorite was the sautéed scallops in garlic butter which came with rice & ratatouille. It was very fresh, locally caught & delicious! We also liked the sautéed shrimp with rice and the flank steak with pepper sauce. If you like your steak medium rare, tell them rare with pink. France only does rare, medium or well done. The salmon filet came with mashed potatoes, the fish was a little dry but had good flavor. We were too full to order dessert or else we would have gotten Nutella crepes. Overall a great meal, I highly recommend this restaurant, only 10 min away from Mont Saint Michel.

At Bar L'Aviso, I watched the bartender put aside his dinner and search for 15 minutes to find _exactly_ the right type of glass for a bottle of beer. And here's the kicker, it was only a bottle of Fischer d'Alsace Amber. Gods know the lengths he would go to for a trappist ale or a McChouffe bruin. Did I mention that they have both of the latter on draft? They do, and a half-dozen excellent others besides. This is a cool bar, and not just any cool, but French cool, which means mellow, musical and very relaxed. The location is also excellent, right in the heart of the walled town. So, if you are in St. Malo and you want great beer in a sweet locale, you should come here. Definitely.
