The burrito is a four. The hot chocolate too. The pancakes are three. The pancakes were really dry. It looks really fun. But it was kind of tasting more like cake then a pancake. Needed something to drown out the dryness. The burrito was really tasty. Would totally have that again. I asked about their hot chocolate and they said it was good. But it was completely average and tasted like water.
Feb 18, 2025 review: Another great cafe in Puerto Rico! There is a parking garage right in front of it. Again bunch of coffee options with 4oz, 8oz, 12oz. Pretty diverse sandwich options too- like veg panini, Panini toast, avocado toast, omelette and so on. Decent seating potions inside and outside. There is a room left with cute decor. Veg panini came with lot of avocado. Panini toast comes with 4 pieces, shareable among group. Service is fast and are able to take order in English.
We needed coffee to start our last day in PR, so a quick Yelp search brought us here. I ordered "mini" empanadas for myself, and they were actually a decent size so I was able to share them with the rest of the table. Also ordered a turkey and egg spinach breakfast burritos. Food was good, but everything was slow - slow to order and slow to come out. Coffee prices were a bit high, e.g. an iced chai latte ($7) + extra shot ($1.25) + almond milk ($1.25) = $9.50 - it's giving Starbucks prices! They also have different flavored mimosas here and we ordered a soursop and passion fruit mimosa and they were good! Would definitely come back here for the food, but I'll probably grab coffee elsewhere.
There was no wait and we were seated right away. Our server was super sweet and the food came out in about 30 minutes. the drinks were meh, the iced mocha lacked flavor and tasted like very milky coffee. the iced chai was great tho. the food was pretty good, I was excited to try the stuffed avocado and with like pork (kind of tasted like general tsao's which confused me) the bae burrito was good, nothing crazy. there were fried wonton strips? which didn't do anything for the dish, and we wished it came with fries instead. the price and wait weren't too bad, but the meal itself was okay.
The wait was just way too long after getting seated quickly. the waitress took our orders and it took over 2 hours for us to get any sort of food or even our beverage coffees. there was only 2 parties so i was not sure why it took that long. the food was okay i really liked the avacado toast. the turkey wrap was not good it was pretty bland and expensive for the price point they offer. i will not go here again it took too much of my time i cant get back C+ 4/10 coffee was okay
The weekend brunch line is no joke, but they move thru the guests quickly and with good humor. And people in the queue were friendly enough and respectful of who arrived before them. But we went two different times and weekdays was ever so much easier. First visit I got a turkey pesto panini and split patatas bravas with hubs. Second visit I learned my lesson and got a whole order of patatas bravas. Those potatoes, with the house made signature aioli, they are to die for. They came included with my southwest chicken & waffle, which had a sweet waffle with raw sugar, but savory too, with also spinach and a fried egg to go with the chicken. Either meal I'd do again, or could work my way on down the menu -- so much looks good, and seeing things come out from the kitchen, it legit looks like the menu photos look.
I really hate to be that American that contributes to the colonization of Puerto Rico, but I was lol and this restaurant caterer to exactly that type It definitely gave a very vibe. It was filled with white people working at their computers, occasional tourists, like myself and some locals. Coffee and breakfast prices weren't as inexpensive as other places in Puerto Rico could have been but nonetheless it was a pretty good spot to hit up The counter girls were super nice spoke great English although we had a couple of Spanish speakers in our group so that wasn't necessary When my party of five needed a bigger table that had one person working at it with their desk, they kindly asked her to move to a smaller table to accommodate my party Coffee was great food was better. It was a very cute shop, nestled in santurce. definitely will be back here for my next trip to PR
If you come here, I don't recommend ordering the matcha. It was not good, I ended up sending it back and exchanged it for a chai latte. When the owner or manager came in, I overheard the waitress telling her that I returned the matcha because it had no flavor. The owner's response was that "that's just how matcha tastes," and said that next time someone orders it, they should be told that matcha tastes like nothing. That's simply not true. If you're going to serve something, especially something as specific as matcha, you should know how to prepare it properly, not just add it to the menu because it's trendy. As shown in the photo, the drink wasn't even the right color for matcha. This exchange made the experience uncomfortable, especially since we could clearly hear the staff talking about us. I also felt unnecessarily guilty for returning something that clearly wasn't prepared correctly in the first place. That said, the food itself was good. I recommend the BEA burrito and the stack of pancakes. But the overall service and experience were lacking, and unfortunately, that overshadowed the quality of the meal.
It is a small local diner. The service was good and the food even better. I had ordered the Egg Ham and Cheese panini with avocado, which the waitress recommended and it did not disappoint. We had the Patatas Bravas Loaded, she was very much loaded. Was told it has cayenne pepper and could be spicy. Honestly I loved. Been wanting something spicy. Didn't even get a chance to take home before picture, looked so good we all dived in to eat them. Do check it out
$9.50 for a iced latte with one pump of vanilla is something I've never seen and I live in Beverly Hills, California. As a business owner, I know it doesn't cost more than $.60 to produce a latte. Price seems a little bit outrageous. On principle, I will get my coffee elsewhere, but the ambience inside is nice and they have a couple seats out front.
If you are into "third wave" coffee spots, then this place is your jam! Been in PR for 10 days and to be honest, this place has the best coffee (imo) in San Juan! It's smooth and their pour is consistent. Always tasted as it should. Not a fan of the upcharge for 2% milk but I'll survive that. Truly great tasting coffee and fast and friendly staff! read more

This place has great coffee and chai tea!! Jugo Maracuya!! Muy fresco. I came here twice for breakfast and loved everything. Staff was very friendly and food came out pretty fast. Even after the power went out twice they still had our food coming out fast!! Great place check it out read more

Love this place--so much so that we actually came here two days in a row, lol. Everything we tried was great. My partner loved the patatas bravas, as did I. In fact, she said it's her favorite thing she ate during our 7 days in San Juan. We had them in include ground beef and avocado on top of the potatoes, which is optional. We also tried the two paninis: one was pesto, the other was turkey, bacon & chipotle sauce. I preferred the pesto personally. The turkey/chipotle was just a little dryer than I would like. Gave a good portion, too. I finished it in entirety, nonetheless. We also had the pancake...sandwich? It kind of resembled a McGriddle. Minus the sausage. Had fluffy eggs & bacon. We wish the pancake itself was a bit thinner and the sandwich had coveted pork sausage of some sort so cut the sweetness of the pancake, and syrup. While good, I personally wouldn't reorder it. They have so many other options that I think I'd prefer more! Overall, this place is amazing. Lots of options. Great, filling portions. The staff are friendly. Very happy we tried it. I wish they were in the states! Would absolutely return for a third time. read more

To begin with the Service is amazing!!! My server Frances was extremely friendly and caring, she remembered my family member's names as this was our second time coming. Not only that she remembered the previous order, A+. The food was so good, the amount portions are a great size and the food is to die for. The restaurant has a modern feel to it good ambiance and relaxing. read more
We came here for breakfast one day and ended up only ordering coffee as we thought that they didn't have food. We realized we were wrong when we saw the QR code stickers on the table and came back the next day to order food after we concluded that the iced lattes we got were the best lattes we had EVER had in our lives. The coffee is bold and rich and so smooth! Onto the food- we ordered fruit pancake tacos and the turkey tomato scrambled eggs on waffle toast with a side of patatas bravas. The food should be on a cover of a magazine, and it tastes as good as it looks!!! So fresh and delicious! 10/10 recommend read more

When you walk in it seems like a small little place but they have a good amount of seating. Thought I was going to have to wait a good amount of time at noon on a Sunday to be seated but I was actually seated right away. I ordered the stack of pancakes thinking I was going to finish them but my oh my no wonder it's called a stack. If anything you can also share the pancakes with one other person and be filled. The waitresses kept passing by every 5-10 min to check if everything was ok or if you needed anything removed from the table. Good place to go have brunch; they have beers I believe it was 5 different mimosas and best part is that they start serving at 7am ; ) read more
Cute little coffee shop! I came here wanting to try everything so I ordered an iced blueberry green tea (just okay), an iced caramel latte (delicious), and blueberry muffin (sooo good!). All three of these came out to only about $14, so the pricing was very reasonable (compared to what I'm used to, at least). The service was okay, but they have you wait outside after you order, and sometimes forget to let you know when your items are ready. Otherwise, would come back! read more
UGH amazing coffee and breakfast! Small yet cute breakfast spot, walking distance if you're staying nearby and the beach is a block away. Due to COV they strictly prefer if you call ahead and place the order on the phone. They have parking on the side if you're running in to get an order or place an order. We tried this place out on a Sunday which PR had/has a policy that you cant dine in and most places are closed due ti cov19 but luckily this place happened to be open. We scanned their code to pull up their menu, placed our order and waited outside for it. I had their iced chai latte, Superb! And their scrambled eggs & ham which came with bread and tomatoes. SO GOOD! They accept cash and major cc's. The service was friendly and quick but more importantly they care about your and their employees safety! read more
This is strictly a review of their mini empanadas, which were actually not mini at all. They were also cooked really well and was very tasty! I also got it to go, and it stayed crispy even after about 15-20 minutes! The inside was filled with ground beef and cheese. read more

2pm on a Monday and needing something tasty, we stopped at La Coffeetera hoping for great espresso and WiFi. First note that there is NO WiFi. Second note that the 8oz lattes we purchased were the perfect ratio of espresso and milk, amazing steamed milk, and naturally sweet espresso that comes from great sourcing and controlling the variables in an espresso machine. Service was chatty, but not too much. Helpful without being overbearing. And knowledgeable enough to teach but sounding arrogant. The environment was lively, but not too noisy. If we had longer we would have stayed to get another latte and learned more about the place. read more

This was literally a quick stop searching for decaf before going to the beach. After various unsuccessful calls we passed right in front of this place. I decided to give a call and finally someone answered and provided the milk alternatives as well I forgot my phone since it was a super quick order to-go so I couldn't take pictures of the inside, but it is very cozy and well organized. They do not provide Gluten Free nor Dairy/Lactose free pastries not vegan. I wanted a pastry with my coffee but they were kind enough to recommend another place. The coffee and the staff were great and will definitely return! Sad that I cannot be a part of the brunch experience because if my allergies, but I hope they incorporate something in the menu in the near future. read more

Super chill, great vibe place to grab coffee AND FOOD! They don't have a food menu up but there are QR codes for them. The chai latte was phenomenal (recommend dirty). The food. Yes. Yes. And Yes. Was delicious. Highly recommend. Indoor and out door seating. Can work from here for my remote workers. read more

First, let me say our waiter John was super friendly and accommodating to our every request. The coffee is fantastic and coming from NYC, that's something. Breakfast was HUGE, I had the French toast sticks, eggs and bacon. It was way more than I could finish, but very tasty. My Boyfriend had the griddle sandwich which was equally huge. The staff was beyond friendly and I would totally recommend. read more
I found this place using Yelp and was impressed by 4.5/5.0 stars which is rare for restaursnt type of businesses. Now I know why they have such amazing reviews! Both the service and the food is outstanding here. I also really liked the interior - it was contemporary with cute details. The staff was extremely friendly and made me feel like home. The were very accommodating and helped me to make the right food and drink choice. I ended up ordering a latte (it was delicious!), warm mushroom soup and batatas bravos side (see the pics). Everything tasted just great! There were a couple concerns for me such as limited working hours: I came after 2pm and they didn't tell me they'd close at 3pm. Also their bathroom wasn't supposedly working and I was in need to attend one. Despite these negative moments, I'm still giving them 5 stars because they actually deserved 6! I wish they were located a little closer to where I was staying, so I could stop by for coffee and food every day. Staff speaks excellent English. read more
Cute little place with great food! Probably some of the best I had on my whole trip to PR (just in general, not specifically Puerto Rican food). Simple and good. They have solid sandwiches and their cortadito really gave me a much needed boost of energy after arriving to San Juan at 1:00 am! Wish we could have stopped by again before the end of our trip. They have so many other menu items that look DELISH. Definitely next time! read more
Cute little breakfast spot! Popped in here for a weekday coffee and some breakfast. They have all sorts of coffee beverages as well as fruit juices and other cold drinks. The food was excellent: my husband had eggs, ham, and toast and I had the avocado toast. We both got the tropical parfaits on the side. The portions were massive and I actually had to take some of my avocado toast home. Everyone working was super friendly and the service was excellent and quick. Our server was present throughout the meal and made sure that we had everything that we needed. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting San Juan! read more

We walked in the door with a group of 11, and they didn't even blink. Excellent service. Coffee was great - We got cappuccino, lattes, chai (hot and cold) all great. Food is off the charts! Creative and filling. From savory to sweet - this place pleases the whole family 13 -75! read more

Great food, super filling. I sat down at a table inside and ordered the chai latte, avocado toast and pancake sandwich. The latte was not too cinnamon-y and I finished it quickly. The avocado toast was simple, ciabatta with some sliced avocado, cherry tomatoes, and olive oil. The pancakes were not too sweet and paired well with the egg and bacon. The portions were generous and well priced. I brought half of my sandwich home and it still tasted great after reheating the next day. Just a note that the service is slow. I had to walk up the front and get my own cup of water after asking for it and waiting 15 min but never getting it. But what place doesn't have slow service in PR. I have been recommending this place to others and will continue to do so! read more

My first meal in the Island. It was ok. I had higher expectations. I mean, I chose the place based on proximity to where I'm staying and the reviews, but it didn't meet my expectations. I'm very picky with my coffee, but I had lowered expectations after finding out the possibility of finding coffee the way I like it might be impossible. Still. The almond milk gave it a sour taste in my opinion. I added more sugar and it helped a little bit, but not to my expectations. The toast was ok. Thin slices of avocado on top of a big bread. You miss every other flavor because of how big the bread is. They put some type of oil on top which is actually great in taste, and go well with the tomatoes. The place is small and beautiful. Extremely clean. It has a lot of potential. It is good, just not my type. I'm still very well committed to find my type of coffee in the island. read more

Only place we came back to multiple times and each time the food was delicious and the service excellent; everyone spoke perfect English. Their coffee and chai latte were both perfect and the food looks just like the pictures. If I lived here, I would make this my go-to coffee shop because of the food quality and nice and clean environment. read more
