The service is always amazing. If you want a good drink made, then Hannah is your girl! Everything that I've tried there is so good.

Came here after the Durham Farmers Market with a friend and wow this place was a surprise. …read more I went with the grain bowl and honestly it is one of the best I have had in downtown Durham. It is built on quinoa and rice with black beans and kale, then layered with corn salsa, tomato cortido, guacamole, and a creamy acevichado style sauce that pulls everything together. It is finished with a crunchy mix of pepitas, nuts, and grains. The balance is quite ideal in my view. My friend had the rotisserie chicken with two sides, kale and slaw, and it was just as impressive. Crispy skin, juicy inside, and really clean flavors. Simple food done right and GF friendly. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared. Prices land right where you would expect for the quality, roughly 16 to 21 dollars depending on what you order, and it feels worth it. My bowl plus side of dark chicken was plenty. A few notes. Parking is what you would expect for downtown, so plan accordingly. Service was solid and friendly, but nothing that stood out. The vibe inside is festive and relaxed, bright and open, and just a fun place to hang out for lunch. Porbably not a special occasion. I also suspect it could get loud when full. This is definitely going into my regular rotation. That grain bowl is going to be hard to pass up next time, so instead of replacing it I will probably just add a side or an empanada and start working my way through the rest of the menu.

Hmm, for the reviews Mi Calvillo had I was expecting way more flavor profiles. However the food was…read morevery bland. The chips were not fresh and there was no spice at all in the salsa. We had a cheese dip as well that was lukewarm. The server was very pleasant and helpful. It was a cute small space.

Where I am from you can get a shredded beef burrito anywhere but they are hard to find here. We walked in and I was surprised to see that you order at the counter and it seems most of their business is takeout. They did allow us to sit at a table to order though. The waiter did not bring us anything. No chips. No salsa. No napkins. No silverware. I asked if they have salsa and they then brought out chips and salsa. I asked for silverware and napkins after our food arrived and they then brought out those things. We ordered bean dip and they brought out what I would describe as a bowl of water. Both the beans and the cheese were so runny that it was impossible to get either beans or cheese to stay on the chip long enough to deliver to your mouth. Total fail. How can bean dip be messed up? I was still excited for my shredded beef burrito to come. That excitement and any hopes I had for this place went way out the window when the man came back and plopped a shredded chicken burrito down in front of me. Definitely not what I ordered! I literally went there because they have shredded beef burritos, as least their menu says they do. I ate some of the shredded chicken burrito that I did not order and simply quietly boxed up the rest feeling too defeated to eat or complain. Speaking of the menu, they charged significantly more for every single item than the price that was listed on the menu. Once again I did not complain. I was so ready to leave. The horrible bean dip, three tacos for my husband, and a burrito that I did not order cost us $60. Never again.

They were all very flavorful and tender and came on corn tortillas. Reasonable prices for what you get. The tacos were a bit dry by themselves; however, I realized that they have a self-serve station with a variety of different sauces of different heat levels which were perfect for completing the flavor profile and allowed you to customize to your taste too. Staff were very welcoming and the spaces were clean. They have plentiful indoor seating and a smaller outdoor space as well. No dedicated parking so look for street parking or nearby lots.

I have been on a hispanic/mexican/other South American food truck kick for a bit and figured I'd see what we find, because I didn't want to do a 'fancy' meal just a 'good meal'. Stumbled across this as we walked out of the parking garage, looked like worth a shot, so we took a shot. The problem is, I can't remember what I had. I waited too long between reviewing and eating, I just remember 'holy crap this is good' but I don't remember what I had. Both of us were pleased with what we picked and ate it all, then we went to our DPAC event. place had lots of seating, order at counter and off you go. Really enjoyed it
