You would think by my last three posts I've only been eating at Mexican food restaurants…read more Well, that's not the case. It's just I happen to run into three really amazing diamonds in the rough lately! El Perrion is no exception. If you're in Melbourne Arkansas for some God knows what reason please stop in. Again, as traditional, great Mexican they walked over immediately with complementary chips and salsa that were clearly homemade. The chips were still warm and the salsa was fresh, slightly spicy, and a delicate texture. I really liked this salsa. I asked for something spicier and they brought me their house salsa, which was fire! All I had was two tacos and an iced tea and it was eight dollars! This place was packed on a Saturday at 12:30... Guess what? They don't even serve Cerveza or tequila. It's a no alcohol establishment. Do you realize how good a Mexican restaurant has to be that doesn't serve beer or have a bar? That means it's all about the food and people were lined up! I might have to drive back here just for the taco of it! Really good friendly staff great music, perfectly timed in the background. Solid pic no question!

This is flavor town yall. Dishes even come with a chile brine to dip in. The meat is supple, flavorful and deeeeelicious. They soak the shells in the brine before putting them on the griddle so they have a saturated color and flavor that I am all about. Guac is fresh and super solid. White queso is redonk with house made chips and schmered on everything. My buddy is a taco truck enthusiast who basically thinks he struck gold by finding this place, visiting it every week since he found it. I'll probs get three meals out of this and it is VERY reasonably priced! Incredible. Gracias!! SUPPORT LOCAL FOOD

I pulled up and went to order and I was greeted by a lady with red hair and covered in tattoos she smiled at me and asked me how I was and If I would like to place and order. I told her it had been a while since I had been there and asked her what she recommended and she promptly said ohhh definitely a chicken and steak quesadilla or some birria nachos. I said oh I didn't seen the birria nachos on the menu so it must be new so I told her I'll take one of each. She said it would be about 15 mins and I was welcome to have a seat and wait I made sure to see if she was going to put gloves on and yes!! She did. About 5 mins later some guy came in yelling at her that she needed to hurry and make 2 orders he had just got she told him she was working on my order she would get to it as soon as she was done he looked at me and said (what did you get man) and I had grabbed a soda from the cooler and he said you already pay for your order man if not I need you to pay now and for you drink. She said yes he had already paid for everything already she finished my order and gave me an extra salsa I tipped her 5 dollars before I left and he stuck it in his pocket I said oh that was a tip for the cook and he said yeah ok ty have a good day. The food was impeccable I dont know what she does to it but I was so full I couldn't eat another bite I will definitely go back if she is cooking but he needs to learn manners

I was very embarrassed that I took family from out of town here and the food was awful…read more I have eaten here before and loved the Italian Sampler (baked trio of various cheese stuffed pastas) at lunch time. Maybe the food was not good due to time of day? We were there for a very late lunch around 3 pm on a Thursday. Two of our group ordered taco salads. The hamburger meat was not seasoned at all. It was literally just ground hamburger that didn't even have salt to season it. How hard is it to put some taco seasoning on ground hamburger? When the waitress brought it to the table she told us they were out of sour cream. Someone should have run over to Brookshire's grocery and got some. That grocery store is less than a mile down the road. The taco salads were returned and not charged. The Chicken Pomodoro tasted funny. It seemed like the chicken was old or something. The eggplant Cremora's Alfredo sauce didn't have much flavor but it was edible. Luckily no one got sick.
