During our visit to Sevilla, my parents and I stumbled upon a charming little restaurant tucked away in what was once an old cochera (carriage house). The transformation of the space is breathtaking--super cozy yet tastefully modern, with an interior design that strikes the perfect balance between rustic charm and contemporary elegance.
From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable. Our server, Manuel, truly made the experience unforgettable with his warmth and attentiveness.
We started with a couple of appetizers that set the bar high. The tartine of caramelized apple with morcilla was a delightful mix of sweet and savory, while the tataki de ciervo paired with a rich shiitake sauce and a comforting shiitake ramen soup was simply exquisite.
For the main courses, the standout was the corvina. The fish was cooked to perfection--el punto de cocción estaba riquísimo--and the flavor was sublime. We also tried the grilled vegetables, and while everything was excellent, the green beans were a surprise favorite with their perfectly grilled crunch. However, the dish that stole the show was the carillera. It was melt-in-your-mouth tender, complemented by a luscious honey sauce and a side of creamy polenta that tied it all together beautifully.
For dessert, we indulged in the Spanish cheesecake, and it was the perfect ending to an already incredible meal. Creamy, rich, and not overly sweet--it was everything a cheesecake should be.
