Soo you're telling me that spicy empanadas are served cold?? Nahh slim
Shelly J.

To say it's the best Bolivian food in NOVA is a stretch. I heard about them on Instagram. So I had to see for myself if they are better than Luzmarys or Luzmilas.... and they are not!! I've been to Bolivia and have Bolivian fam members. So I know the flavors.. For starters, They don't give you comp bread like most places. So I started off ordering a safe menu item before I ordering a meaty dish. I ordered a saltena (chicken). The filing... meh. Not flavorful. It didn't wow my mouth. The rellano (the stuffing had: chicken wasn't shredded. Large chunks of white meat.and dry!! Most places season their chicken... this Pollo never met sazon or any Goya products. It also had minced potato, and egg. Most places would have olives and raisins. And filled, and served piping hot with juices flowing not here. I ordered their empanadas since it was highly sought after on yelp . Soo waitress messed up and gave me a non spicy one. Though it was good, it was served piping hot... So when she gave me the spicy empanada, that isssh was cold... im like excuse me.. I dont wanna complain but this cold.. She told me it's suppose to be ... nahhhh.. even mi pana was like what type of crap is that. No where ... that makes empanadas are served cold..... To me that tells me that they are lazy. From seeing the dishes, it lack... Trust me I've been to better places.. even my old aunt can whip up something better with her eyes closed than what they was serving here... oh nooo. The wait staff are kinda iffy.. is why I'm giving this 3 stars but they need to listen better. Like I ordered 2 saltenas but only got one... good.. save me some money cuz I should've went to Pike or Luzys. Also it's a little shady to block out the prices. So ask about prices before ordering. Before you get sticker shock. If you want good Bolivian food try Kantutas in Wheaton, Pike, Betty's or Luzmilas. You've been warned...

It's a basic mom and pops Bolivian restaurant, nothing fancy. I believe the food quality has gone down quite a bit and the prices have gone up! The menus have no prices and the cost for a basic dinner is about $ 25.00 per person. That is for an entry and a soft drink! The food portions are smaller and not as tasty or well seasoned as it should be. That's my humble opinion!

Soup of the day.

This restaurant never disappoints! I always order takeout, and my order is usually ready in 15mins max. I've tried most of their dishes and they're very authentic. A must try restaurant!

Pedi un falso conejo y hay un pelo en mi comida. Siempre qué pedo un comida de hay y siempre hay un people .

Trankapecho; a little excess bread all around but nonetheless a good tasting trankapecho

Place is decent size but might have to wait for a table if you go in on a Sunday afternoon. Mostly clean and good vibes. Service is a little dry but gets it done. Food arrived in timely manner as well. Food is good and portions are excellent.

I usually always come here because the food is good but after my last visit their I had to write this review. I ordered pique macho and as I am almost halfway into my plate I noticed there was a dead fly at the bottom of my food and I know it was from them because I used the original to go plate they give you to eat. Like I said the food is good but this really makes you question how sanitary they really are in the kitchen especially with COVID-19 going on.

Best Bolivian empanadas in the DMV. Always warm and cheesy when we get them. Silpancho is delicious too!

I really like the Salteñas at this place. They are so good that you have to call and pre order as Salteñas sell really fast.

My favorite are the tamales de pollo, pupusas loco, and pan con pollo. You can eat in or carry out. They also deliver in a 4 mile radius with a $15 minimum purchase. There are a few small tables inside and an outdoor small patio with 1 table. They have an almost full bar with beer, wine and liquor. They also sell Margaritas, horchata, soda, juice, agua fresca, cafe, hot chocolate, and desserts. From tacos, quesadillas, ceviche, pupusas, soups, salads, , fajitas, burritos, wings, hamburgers, and even steak and cheese sandwiches - it's a nice variety for breakfast, lunch, dinner or late night. They are open 7 days a week. The service is always great. Free parking lot.

He was great, and even gave my bf recommendations on what to get since it was his first time trying pupusas. We ordered two pupusas: Revuelta and Loroco (recommended by server) and both were very delicious! The size is fairly large compared to other places I've been. We liked the flavorful revuelta and crispiness of the loroco. The cabbage on side was great too and red sauce. We also got a Sopa de res to share. It was a big bowl, with a good amount of beef and veggies. This soup was definitely more than enough for 2 people (we took some leftovers for next day)! The taco carne was delicious, and the homemade sauces complimented the flavors well. Lastly, I always get a tamal de pollo and it was good as well. Overall, excellent spot for affordable food, quick service, and very kind and friendly staff. I appreciated that for dinner it was not too loud, and we could enjoy a delicious Salvadorean meal, friendly service, with generous portions for a very reasonable price. Check them out!!

+ Five-Star Plus Review: Casa de Campo…read more Casa de Campo delivers a meal that goes far beyond expectations and earns a true five-star plus rating from the very first bite. Let's start with the rice, because it deserves center stage. Absolutely out of this world. Each grain is perfectly cooked, rich in flavor, and clearly prepared with care and tradition. It is not just a side dish. It is comforting, bold, and memorable on its own. The kind of rice you keep going back to even when you think you are full. The rotisserie chicken is equally impressive. Cooked to perfection, it is juicy, tender, and packed with flavor all the way through. The seasoning is balanced and authentic, enhancing the natural taste of the chicken without overpowering it. Every bite is moist, savory, and satisfying, with a beautifully cooked exterior that shows real attention to detail. What truly stands out is the consistency and quality. Nothing feels rushed. The food is clearly made with pride, skill, and respect for the ingredients. This is comfort food elevated by technique and heart. Casa de Campo is not just a place to eat. It is a place to enjoy a full, satisfying meal that leaves you happy, full, and already planning your next visit. If you are looking for incredible flavor, perfectly cooked food, and a dining experience that delivers every single time, Casa de Campo is the place to go. Five stars are not enough. This place earns a five-star plus rating without question.

Super fresh and full of flavor -- definitely a highlight! The deli has a cozy little seating area, which is great if you wanna chill and enjoy your food. Not the friendliest or fastest, but hey... worth it if you're not in a rush. Would I go back? For the juice and snacks -- absolutely. For the tacos? Maybe, if I'm already nearby.

I ordered tacos de lengua without onions, but they came with onions anyway. When I brought it up, both the cashier and the Lady with glasses running the expo line showed zero empathy or professionalism. This isn't just about onions--it's about respect. As a loyal customer, I expect to be heard. I may still come back, because I truly enjoy the food, but I really hope management and ownership takes this seriously and provides proper training in customer service. No one should be made to feel dismissed or ignored. The beautiful artwork featuring local women of color from Colombia adds a great cultural touch, and there's plenty of parking. I ordered the Papas Rellenas (picadillo-stuffed potato fritters), which were really big, dense, and satisfying for $5. I also got the bandeja paisa (with kidney beans, steak, fried egg, pork belly, etc.), knowing it would take about 20 minutes on a Monday at 10:45 a.m. That wait felt outrageous, though--only about 10 people were in a space that could easily hold 100. However, the pork belly and steak wasn't overcooked and very flavorful. Even the sausage bursted with flavor. The food was authentic and tasty, but the long wait is a dealbreaker for me unless I'm with a friend craving Latin food and have time to spare. I probably won't return on my own unless it's a weekend and I have time to kill.

I placed an online order for pickup, was charged in full, and was never notified of any issue. I drove almost an hour to pick up the order, only to be told upon arrival that my order was not ready and would not be fulfilled at all. This order was for an event I was attending, so I was left scrambling at the last minute while staff showed no acknowledgment or accountability for their mistake. I was never contacted, never proactively refunded, and had extreme difficulty reaching anyone. Phone calls went unanswered repeatedly. As a last resort, I commented on one of their Instagram posts and my comment was deleted. I posted again and still received no response. It wasn't until over a month later that someone finally shared an alternate phone number for a staff member. When the refund was finally processed, it was only partial about 65% of the total charge. I am still having to follow up to recover the remaining balance. To make matters worse, I was blocked from their Instagram page. At this point, this is no longer about the money. It's about the complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service. I am a reasonable person and understand that the food industry is complex but businesses do not have the right to charge customers, fail to deliver, avoid communication, and then silence them. This experience was not only disappointing, it was disrespectful. Unfortunately, this is one of the only places offering Colombian food in the area, which leaves customers with little choice. A quick look at reviews across platforms shows that customer service issues are a consistent pattern. I had previous less-than-great experiences ordering here, but this was the tipping point. This business seriously needs education and improvement in customer service. Customers deserve transparency, communication, and respect.
