La Clotilde is a popular restaurant in a beautiful Palermo neighborhood. The place has a great open concept kitchen displaying its infamous parrilla grill. In terms of space, there's plenty of tables with an additional second floor overlooking the whole restaurant.
**Ambiance is colorful with a rustic feel, the venue was Kinda clean (we had some food and forks on the ground where we sat.). In addition they've got a beautiful outdoor patio great for warm days.
**Service was OKAY, at times it was REALLY slow, especially during lunch time, it took forever to get drinks to our table.....the only thing I can complain about La Clotilde..however for food it was a different story.
**For appetizers we tried their deliciously in-house, homemade empanadas. Made with the perfect balance ie. not too much dough/crust. I opted for their carne empanadas infused with a beautiful sauce/ herbs. This was probably one of the best empanadas I've had during my time in Buenos Aires. overall 4.5/5
** Main/ entrée, we had their popular parrilla for 6 people. Impressed? oh yes! served on a huge wooden butcher board. This was truly a meat-arian's heaven; chorizo, beef ribs, steak, rice, potatoes, yam puree, roasted peppers, and a cheese flambois (similar to Greek Saganaki) where they lit it with fire. PLATES? who said there were plates, we were provided individual wooden butcher boards as plates (cool experience).
**Prices were reasonable for the portion and most of all quality!
only thing they may need to improve is efficiency of service, however being from North America I cannot be picky lol.... GREAT PLACE...muy bien La Clotilde.
Overall, thankful for our new Argentine guests for introducing us to this restaurant. read more
