Been hoping to try chimney cakes since I saw it on a movie. Planned a visit within a week of learning chimney cake, or Chime Cake, was on their website. We invited friends to join us. Truly disappointed to learn the Fresno location does not serve Chime Cake, Chime Cones, or Chime Toast, and a number of the kids were disappointed that cotton candy flavor was unavailable. Thankfully, the staff was patient and friendly. Wow the ice cream is definitely home made. The bright colors in the lobby make the place have oodles of positive vibes. Plus the old school music playing is a great touch. However, their drinks are very mediocre & do not differ from any other place other than aesthetic wise. It hard to distinguish it as a tea/boba spot as they don't offer any fruit teas & have a very limited milk tea menu. The toppers are ice gummies & are a cute touch, but have an odd texture. I would categorize it as a dessert & photo opp stop. As far as the service goes the employee was extremely kind, helpful, & overall happy to be there. Overall, I'd give this place a 3.5 stars. This place is super trendy, really cute aesthetics but it's okay. It really is just for aesthetics. The wait was kind of long. There were a lot of people waiting for their orders and waiting to order. They have a large menu but not descriptions for each drink. So a lot of times we were waiting for the cashier to explain to each customer what they were looking for. Slowed the process down a lot. They didn't have lids and since the shop was full we had to take it togo, it was a mess. It was kind of pricey too. You pay for aesthetic. Chimmy strawberry: I should've read better, I thought this was a drink but it was just fresa con crema. (4/5) Chime cake: bread and whatever filling you choose. This was underwhelming. We wanted the chime cones the ice cream one but they only had the cake ones left. The ice cream one probably would have been really good. (5/5) Strawberry lime Italian soda: shows a bear on top but did not come with a bear. Kind of pricey for what it is. And no bear. (The bear in the picture was separately ordered for another drink) it was good. Just flavored soda water. (4/5) Lychee strawberry chime slushie: this was good. I personally do not like the texture of the bear/bunny. It's icey but also gummy texture. My bf liked it. (4/5) It's okay. I probably wouldn't come back for the drinks. The location of it was first a Starbucks for yearsss and then it turned into a boba place and now Chime. * We arrived exactly at opening time. My nieces and I decided to go check out the new hot spot La Chime on 5/17/25. We arrived around 6pm. Entered the lovely shop which is absolutely SO beautiful inside. The music was all millennial music I grew up listening to as a kid so every song that came on I could not help to sing or dance to. My nieces too. They have an extensive menu of items of everything. The lines were almost out the door. The customer service is wonderful. The gentleman who helped us out was apologetic about the wait which is no need to apologize as any new business has lines as everyone wants to try it out. The staff was whipping up yummy treats as fast as they could. We didn't get our items almost around 7pm. The wait was around 30 minutes and totally worth it. The nieces and I occupied our time by taking pictures and enjoying the ambiance. We finally got our treats and the presentation is absolutely beautiful. The bear on top is edible and it's tasty. It's like a milky ice bear. I got the taro boba with almond milk. They have various dairy options such as whole milk, half & half, almond, soy and oat. My drink was delicious 7/10. I would get again but once I tasted the sundaes that is all I'm getting!!! The Sundaes are absolutely amazing. I wish I got one they have various flavors. Anywho if you have time you stop . This place is fairly new and has very cute drinks. I see why everyone wants to try it. My shake was great, I enjoyed it but our frappe was pretty icy and chunky. We waited about 20 mins for my shake and another 10 for my drink by that time when I got my frappe, it was melted and spilling over. There was only 3 or 4 official people in the uniform shirt working but 3 extra people standing around. Not sure if they were training but there was 2 teenagers just standing and talking while everyone was working around them. Expect long waits. Cons: I think the ordering system could be better to reduce wait times. Everyone who was in the pink work shirts were very professional but observing the others behind the counter not in a uniform was unsettling. I saw one of the teenage girls get soft serves from behind the counter and run out the door to give to someone outside a few times. And I'm pretty sure she had the same gloves on the whole time. Soft flavorful tapioca, the frozen bear was custard flavored and easy to eat, I got a brown sugar boba with oat milk and it rivaled any boba shop I've ever been to. The lady who helped my boyfriend and I was very kind. She had good customer service and the place was cute. Very aesthetic as some would like to say. However, a lot of the items on their menu could not be purchased bc they didn't have the things for it. They had no boba so we ordered the drink without it. We wanted the hot Cheetos thaf ad slime Tostilocos, and they didn't have that either. It took about 30 mins to make two drinks.. She had to go next door to buy sparkling water for one of the drinks.... And unfortunately they did not come out good. The drinks are adorable with jelly bears and other creatures they put on top, but for me.. that was it. Spent around $23 for the two drinks I posted. A chocobomb and a watermelon slushie. First, I didn't even know the chocobomb was going to be a thick, milkshake consistency. (It was hard to drink and when I managed to get something, it nothing but chocolate syrup.) They don't have it labeled anywhere as such. Of course its sweet, that was to be expected but it also had a very strange aftertaste to it. The watermelon slush was super sweet with an artificial taste. Did not like at all and ended up throwing both drinks away. The jelly bear and bunny were also not that great. Bland. Though the coco bear did have a soft chocolate touch to, wasn't enough to make me take more than a nibble. The sizes are pretty small for their prices, but as a small business I can understand. Service is SLOW but friendly when they take your order. They might not greet you when you come in, I certainly didn't get one, but some did. The wait is just as long, but considering they're new, its reasonable. Some are still learning the recipes. Overall. Cute, kitschy place with so-so drinks. Clean and welcoming you're greeted my the workers and then there's a very nicely out together menu of all the items and choices you have. Came for the second time on a Saturday and still great service. I absolutely loved my experience here. I can for the boba drinks my first time I had an horchata boba and a pig jello as well as a bunny jello. Everything was delicious and my second time going I had tried the mazapán boba and I added leché jelly. Also very delicious and also got the jellos again. Each boba drink comes with a frozen teddy bear treat on top. Definitely inviting perfect for a get together, hangout or just a date night or just a treat for yourself. Came in to get a boba and after waiting 10 minutes for the lady behind the counter to even acknowledge me, both myself and the people in front of me left. She was working on an order for a single group but to the detriment of everyone else waiting, another employee came in but similarly ignored us and disappeared into the back. First time here on a Monday went around 5pm wasn't too busy. The decor is cute. Wanted to try their toast but they were sold out. So my husband and I shared a sweet treat the Nutella cone for $9.95 it was okay the ice cream tasted like the one you would get from McDonald's. It's nothing new it tastes like churro sticks with ice cream on the side and Nutella sauce drizzled all over with a few chocolate sprinkles. Gave this place a 3 there's nothing original on the menu aside from the little bear molds on top of their drinks. Greeted as soon as we walked in, the young man went and explain a little bit of everything. Unfortunately we went late and there were some stuff that was out of stock. I got their mango passion fruit Italian soda and my friend their horchata latte. I never had an Italian soda, but I enjoyed the fizziness, sort of reminded me of the Dutch bros rebel drinks but without the caffeine. We did have a little hiccup with my friend's latte as the young man forgot to add the shots of espresso lol but he quickly fixed it and apologized. When we first arrived at 11:10, they opened at 11, we were told the items we wanted would be around a 20 minute wait as nothing was prepared. No problem, my sister and I took a walk around the shops and came back 30 minutes later. When I told her "but the guy said it would be a 20 minute wait 30 minutes ago?" The gentleman behind her said "oh it's going to be a 5 minute wait!" Went in for the very first time on a Saturday afternoon. The place was super packed and waited over 45 minutes for 3 drinks. I ordered a Mazapan slush with a bear on top. My slushie tasted like water and the only "mazapan" flavoring was the peanut butter lining the cup. The bear on top also wasn't flavored, the only thing it tasted like was freezer burn. I ordered a watermelon slush and while it tasted good there wet big chunks of ice in it like it wasn't blended long enough. I was really excited for the little bunny decoration on top, I thought it was a little popsicle but it was frozen gelatin with barely any flavor. Also it was a little over $20, too much money for what we got. The shop is cute but the floors and tables were pretty dirty. The drinks are really good, but you have to be prepared for the 45+ minute wait. I understand that they're new, which is fine, but it seemed like there was no sense of urgency and there sure weren't any wet floor signs. I'm not sure what was going through the worker's mind, but they were mopping the floor and did not put down any wet floor signs whatsoever. Someone in my party also didn't get their drink after an hour and a half, and the manager didn't want to give a refund initially before only giving the price of the drink and not the tax that was charged as well.
