Strawberry Matcha and Idk the other drinks name
    Nalleli P.

I've seen this place all over my TikTok so I had to go try it. With its cute aesthetic I'm hoping it will stay. The location of it was first a Starbucks for yearsss and then it turned into a boba place and now Chime. * We arrived exactly at opening time. I wanted to order the toast but was told they don't have it ? So there was no food options , only drinks /frappe/icecream. * Seating. They definitely could use more seating. A big group walked in and was taking over the seats. People had to stand and watch you while you eat to see when you would leave lol. * I ordered the Strawberry Matcha and it was delicious. The bear on top was also good!

    Part of menu 5/17/25

My nieces and I decided to go check out the new hot spot La Chime on 5/17/25. We arrived around 6pm. Entered the lovely shop which is absolutely SO beautiful inside. The music was all millennial music I grew up listening to as a kid so every song that came on I could not help to sing or dance to. My nieces too. They have an extensive menu of items of everything. The lines were almost out the door. The customer service is wonderful. The gentleman who helped us out was apologetic about the wait which is no need to apologize as any new business has lines as everyone wants to try it out. The staff was whipping up yummy treats as fast as they could. We didn't get our items almost around 7pm. The wait was around 30 minutes and totally worth it. The nieces and I occupied our time by taking pictures and enjoying the ambiance. We finally got our treats and the presentation is absolutely beautiful. The bear on top is edible and it's tasty. It's like a milky ice bear. I got the taro boba with almond milk. They have various dairy options such as whole milk, half & half, almond, soy and oat. My drink was delicious 7/10. I would get again but once I tasted the sundaes that is all I'm getting!!! The Sundaes are absolutely amazing. I wish I got one they have various flavors. Anywho if you have time you stop . Please do! This place is probably gonna be my nieces and I summer, winter, all season spot for ice cream, slushiest and boba. I wish they had a rewards program! Other than that this place overall is a 10/10

    Frappe

This place is fairly new and has very cute drinks. I see why everyone wants to try it. My shake was great, I enjoyed it but our frappe was pretty icy and chunky. We waited about 20 mins for my shake and another 10 for my drink by that time when I got my frappe, it was melted and spilling over. There was only 3 or 4 official people in the uniform shirt working but 3 extra people standing around. Not sure if they were training but there was 2 teenagers just standing and talking while everyone was working around them. Expect long waits. Cons: I think the ordering system could be better to reduce wait times. Everyone who was in the pink work shirts were very professional but observing the others behind the counter not in a uniform was unsettling. I saw one of the teenage girls get soft serves from behind the counter and run out the door to give to someone outside a few times. And I'm pretty sure she had the same gloves on the whole time. Then I watched her help with drinks. I hope as time goes on the business works out the wait time. This place is super cute and I would love to come back.

    Brown sugar oat milk boba.

Very cute store, lots of pink and neon decorations! The boba was sublime. Soft flavorful tapioca, the frozen bear was custard flavored and easy to eat, I got a brown sugar boba with oat milk and it rivaled any boba shop I've ever been to. The service was very slow but it was a soft opening so I understand that they were probably overwhelmed. I will definitely be back.

This is a super cool place, literally walked through the door and my 10 year old daughter asks "can we re-do my room like this?" They were very busy so there was a bit of a wait but nothing major, just hangout and enjoy the upbeat atmosphere. There are sooooo many unique drinks, sundaes and several food options so we will absolutely be back. Definitely something to check out if you are looking for something sweet and different.

Its very nice inside. The staff are very helpful. I got the Nutella King and Chai. The Nutella King is very light on the chocolate flavor. The chai has a great flavor but has no spice .

The wait for our drinks here was a bit outrageous. We waited a little over an hour (no joke). Service was okay. They were trying their best at getting everything out especially with a trainee working on shift. Our drinks were okayish. Not worth over an hour wait tbh...

Cute place. Very bright and vibrant. Nice place to hang out and take pics. Similar to many other neon drink stops. The drinks are adorable with jelly bears and other creatures they put on top, but for me.. that was it. Spent around $23 for the two drinks I posted. A chocobomb and a watermelon slushie. First, I didn't even know the chocobomb was going to be a thick, milkshake consistency. (It was hard to drink and when I managed to get something, it nothing but chocolate syrup.) They don't have it labeled anywhere as such. Of course its sweet, that was to be expected but it also had a very strange aftertaste to it. The watermelon slush was super sweet with an artificial taste. Did not like at all and ended up throwing both drinks away. The jelly bear and bunny were also not that great. Bland. Though the coco bear did have a soft chocolate touch to, wasn't enough to make me take more than a nibble. The sizes are pretty small for their prices, but as a small business I can understand. Service is SLOW but friendly when they take your order. They might not greet you when you come in, I certainly didn't get one, but some did. The wait is just as long, but considering they're new, its reasonable. Some are still learning the recipes. Overall. Cute, kitschy place with so-so drinks. Who knows, maybe it'll be better once they get into their groove ‍ Oh, and no paper in the restroom- boo!

The place is super cute and has lot of great spots to take photos. Lots of tables to sit and enjoy your drinks and desserts. We didn't have to wait long in line nor for our drinks. The service was good and fast. The drinks were super cute and came a cute jelly bear on top. We will definitely come again as their menu has lots of items we wanted to try.

Chimemoy - watermelon with mango boba. Delicious!
    Daisy C.

Good ambiance, nice staff. I went in before their soft opening so they were still in training but over all the visit was worth it. I got a watermelon Chimemoy with mango boba. It was delicious. Will be going back for sure.

Greeted as soon as we walked in, the young man went and explain a little bit of everything. Unfortunately we went late and there were some stuff that was out of stock. I got their mango passion fruit Italian soda and my friend their horchata latte. I never had an Italian soda, but I enjoyed the fizziness, sort of reminded me of the Dutch bros rebel drinks but without the caffeine. We did have a little hiccup with my friend's latte as the young man forgot to add the shots of espresso lol but he quickly fixed it and apologized. They also have a small bear mirror where you can take pictures and a section to chill with your friends/family. I didn't get to try their desserts, but I will be back

This is a small shop with a big back area where they make ice cream magic. They have different delicious ice cream treats and at least one agua fresca at all times ranging from $2 - $5 or so but I usually stick with the paletas. They have at least theee different strawberry options and every other fruit - and some veg like avocado- don't knock it til you try it. The paletas are separated by water-based and dairy-based. Both are good. My favorite water-based: watermelon, lime, jamaica (hibiscus) and fave dairy-based: both strawberry - sooo good. Currently, paletas are $2 each with no discount that I could see. I'm pretty sure two summers ago, the dairy based were like 25 cents or 50 cents more (adds up when you buy 10 like me haha). Anyway, you deserve these frozen treats, don't deny yourself any longer.

We were in town the morning after seeing the Firefail. Finally success on the third visit attempt. Amongst other shops on the desolate street stood an unremarkable window front where the repeat button has remained on since the 60s. Within was an eclectic mix of Japanese American household fixtures and Americana. Rustic. Nothing like Benkyodo's proper shelf presentation - or a hamburga stand. Some Japanese goods were on offer, but you come here for something sweet. We got a couple of mochi and manju, traditional red bean flavors, because that's all that was left. Their manju, seeming to have a different "batter" and "panini"-grilled, had a crumbly texture. The mochi though... Have you seen that viral video of that slapping mochi shop in Nara? What about people enjoying it? How soft it was, leaving a vegan cheese pull with every bite? This was by far the softest mochi I've ever had, and I thoroughly enjoyed the soy dusted yomogi. The bigger size of the mochi also accentuated the softness of the mochi. The matcha, also green, had a distincting different flavor, just so you know that the shop wasn't cheating. My partner in crime loved the lima bean mochi. The red bean filling tasted homemade, good flavor but not too sweet - the best compliment you can give an Asian in a world that remains overrun by pollo ala naranja. We are proud* that such a heritage perseveres on, especially in a part of town that's honestly become quite desecrated of life. Call ahead to see if the shop is open, and try to come early. The shop is a one woman show, and if my first two visits say anything, this lady enjoys having a life. And yes, she does sell out. She was nearly sold out when we visited. And try to enjoy the mochi ASAP. The mochi will last in the fridge. The texture will not. If you come at the right time of the year, the shop will have mochi in different fruit and pie flavors, and even ice cream mochi. *OK, "I'm proud of you" might be a bigger compliment to an Asian. And yes, there's Fugetsu in LA, but I haven't been. Though if you need a reason to visit the Fresno, you can always take the 99 traveling between SoCal and NorCal... Just need to be early if much is desired. If you're interested in AYCEat mochi, staying healthy, working out for free, and have an eye for the art of making mochi, may I suggest asking the owner for an apprenticeship? The owner's mentioned on articles that there's no one to take over and you don't become a master overnight.
