Went last night on their friday $5 sale. Didn't buy anything discounted from that sale but I'm…read morealways curious what is still left over at the end of the day from those. These $5 Friday sales I think are a marketing scam. You get these advertised prices for things almost nobody can buy unless you are a retiree with nothing better to do that go shopping on a Friday morning when everybody else is headed to work. The $5 bakery item sold out - but the fried chicken - lots there. I just got some beer and snack stuff. Store is clean and good looking. Near bart for whatever that is worth.

This branch of Safeway is just straight up unethical. How are you going to have ONE cashier dealing…read morewith an evening dinner crowd and THREE armed guards? It's just so ridiculous. It seems like they don't want to hire more labor as it's the same 3 cashiers on rotation 7 days a week...this store makes THOUSANDS everyday as it's really the only general grocery store in the area. So disgusting, I feel so bad for the sole cashier left up there to wrangle the crowd, it's often an elderly woman.

I'm sad to make such a terrible review bc this has been our go to market but I'm oVer this place…read more We've given it many chances and nothing changged for the better but instead it's getting worse. You think you are saving money buy purchasing meat and produce here at what seems like discounted pricing but in reality you're really losing money bc more times than not the meat is old an on its last day. Needles to mention that multiple times I've had to throw away both cheese purchase from the "carnicería" and pan dulce bc it tastes like the fabuloso got into it. I hate to complaint, but after this happened a few times I had to tell the meat department and the owner and nothing happened to correct the issue. I continued to purchase my usual products and kept getting queso fresco that tasted like how fabuloso (cleaning product) smells. A perfume taste. At first I thought someone accidentally took a cleaning rag that was drenched in "Fabuloso" and must have placed it on or very close to the cheese you buy per pound but when it keeps happening it's concerning as it's highly toxic. This later happened with their pan dulce from the bakery. Sad we will have to go to the other store now.

Their fruits and vegetable section is FILTHY with rotting fruit and vegetables out for you to "buy" there are fruit flies as well. I've attached two pictures taken on Wednesday Jan 23 2025. Also like other comments mention the cashiers are not very friendly either.

There was no way we were going to leave without picking up other groceries - the variety & quality of produce is better than most stores in Concord, and definitely at better prices. It was nice seeing so many seasonal fruits & veggies. A very relaxed shopping scene - not too crowded & pretty easy to navigate with a personal shopping bag. A great place to go to mix things up from our typical Food Maxx, Safeway & Trader Joe's.

Mushy, squishy, bland and no toppings. Messy and gross. I just needed a high chair to complete the outfit. We all know Chile Riano is a delicate gold mine, it's made to order for a reason. You have to have the textures just right, other wise you have a mess of mush and now your baby food. The flavors were not bad!! But my plate was a mess before I opened it, no toppings and I need to change my bib, cuz, you know, baby food. Nachos were on point!!! Also, the place was super clean

They always have a huge selection of snacks to choose from. I wouldn't really know if this is considered a liquor store though because they have a lot of everything. When I was younger I used to pay in coins and never once did I ever feel like I was being belittled or disrespected. Now I'm older and it's different but I love knowing I can drop by and feel welcomed. Times really change when you grow up but not this place. It's the same awesome store it's always been.
