I really enjoyed this thrift store!…read more I was saddened to see the reviews about the store owner. I was in Cape May this weekend visiting a long time family friend. First off, the woman that owns the store (I am speaking from my experience) is a business owner. She is not there to be your friend. She is there to run her business, and provide her customers with high quality, clothing/accessories in good condition. You want someone that is going to be picky about what they put in their store. How are we going to find some great buys? I must say, everything I purchased was in mint condition, and DID NOT smell. Actually, they smelled like fabric softener. My friend had told me that everything is always clean that comes from her thrift store. I left with a couple of pieces that I am very happy about, and eager to wear (without breaking the bank). I will most definitely will be back. I may bring in some clothing in the future during my next visit. Thank you!

She seems to sell lower-end, drab clothing in the store and nicer items online. Her business model is not doing Cape May City any favors. While she could be selling nicer clothing in-store and being a good community spot, she is selling Goodwill-worthy clothing and not with a smile. Someone needs to tell her she can run a business on location alone for only so long - and word gets around when you're shady AF.

This INCOMPETENT MILLVILLE, NJ Goodwill has a terrible habit of using the wrong kind of tape on…read moreeverything. It's slapped across glassware, wood, plastic, even fabric -- and it ruins the products. The clear PACKING tape leaves residue, rips finishes and makes it impossible to carefully remove without damaging what you bought. On top of that, they're charging full retail (sometimes OVER RETAIL) prices for USED items that are already compromised by this over-zealous taping. Instead of helping people find affordable secondhand goods, they're destroying donations and overpricing them. Completely defeats the purpose of thrifting. I made every attempt to CAREFULLY remove their incorrect tape. See attached photos of $16.00 now-worthless, damaged Goodwill products. There are many other products that are incorrectly treated at this location similar to the attached photo. MILLVILLE, NJ Goodwill: Where Tape Is Stronger Than Customer Satisfaction. Apparently, this Goodwill thinks Scotch tape is a luxury feature. Every single item is mummified in the wrong kind of tape, so GOOD LUCK trying to peel it off without destroying the product underneath. Nothing says "thrift store bargain" like paying full retail price for a chipped mug or glassware that's now permanently decorated with sticky residue. It's almost impressive how they manage to ruin perfectly fine donations before they even hit the shelf. MILLVILLE, NJ Goodwill: turning donations into disasters, one strip of tape at a time. Welcome to MILLVILLE, NJ Goodwill's latest performance art piece: "Everything Must Be Taped." Forget thrifting -- every item here is suffocated in the wrong tape, leaving sticky residue, ripped finishes, and ruined donations. Want to actually use what you buy? Too bad, because removing their tape is basically a demolition project. And the kicker? They charge full retail price for these "customized" disasters. It's almost impressive how they manage to destroy perfectly fine donations before they even hit the shelf. If the goal was to make secondhand shopping feel like a punishment, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. Goodwill: where tape destroys the product and the price destroys your wallet. PRO TIP: bring Goo Gone, a heat gun, and maybe a prayer if you dare to shop here.
