The high ceilings made for an airy, spacious feel. The decor and art are very hip. Fortunately during the mid-afternoon, it wasn't too crowded. Our group ordered a variety of drinks, from negronis to spritzers. Everything was refreshing and well-prepared. We were too full from previous meals to try the food, but definitely will return to do so. The staff was attentive as well. Overall a cool, memorable, and pleasant experience!

The bar on the 3rd story along with the décor looks like it belongs somewhere in Gaslamp. The food was pretty cheap but on the smaller fancier portion size. We got the ceviche, octopus tostada, and shrimp tostada. The ceviche was really good, lots of octopus! It was quite expensive though since if you pay in USD they gave you the exchange rate of 16 (the day we went it's about 19). The shrimp tostada was amazing! The portions of the shrimp were very good, and it tasted so fresh. I also liked my octopus tostada. It was a bit on the smaller side, but I would pay that any time since I can't get it for less than that in the states! Drinks were good, made very much like a craft cocktail place. I got the tamarind pineapple cocktail with mezcal and a tajin rim. Very hipster place...don't have straws as well. Staff spoke English and was polite.

I found myself in a gallery until a security guard told me that this is a ticketed area and told me to get a ticket from the gift shop. I went to the gift shop and bought my ticket and then they directed to a separate building where the museum actually was. While I walked there, I passed by an aquarium and walked in and it turned out that you need a separate ticket for it! I left the aquarium and continued my quest to find the museum. I passed by a garden with various statues, pretty cool and the museum and right behind that. Went into the museum building and walked in to what I thought was part of the exhibit and it turned out to be the back part of it and I was directed to go to the other end. Yes! I finally found it! They took my ticket and I entered the museum exhibit area. It's a gallery of the history of Mexico from ancient times to almost current day. I love that for most of the articles, there's an English translation below it as well. Definitely recommend checking out this museum. Don't get lost!

The museum is very well thought out, interesting and well designed. It gives a history focusing on the Baja California region of Mexico. It was very informative and helped to learn a lot about the area, its indigenous people and how it came to be the Baja we know today. I enjoyed it immensely though do wish there was more emphasis on the indigenous communities and their contributions to the culture and not so heavy on the impact of the Spanish especially the priests and monks. They do history a disservice by not mentioning the atrocities that transpired against the native people by the conquerers both religious and otherwise in the name of religion and "gentrification". We need to be honest, so that these crimes against humanity are not soon repeated.

It was a last minute surprise and I was frantically looking for someone with availability. Missael and I texted and spoke on the phone to work out logistics. He was responsive, professional and extremely kind and friendly. He negotiated his rate with me and we settled on the length of time and price. They were worth every dime & more! They were all dressed impeccably & looked beautiful! The mariachi consists of both men and women and it's a large group. They sing AMAZING! Several of the men in the group sang and one of the women. They strolled into the reception hall playing La Bikina and my daughter lost it! She cried and smiled, it was beautiful. Everyone was so impressed with them. They played El Rey and La Negra, Si nos Dejan, Sabor a Mi, and several other songs. Their closing song is a showcase of each instrument and it was INCREDIBLE! I cannot recommend them enough! Book them for your event asap!! This was one of the best experiences working with a vendor ever.

This place is a real working and educational farm. You must come to visit. There are not many places that I know of that offer this type of shared insight and opportunities to take part. A couple of months back I was in Ecuador visiting a farm to learn about Permaculture, various composting, and different methods of growing techniques. The name of that particular farm is Rio Muchaho Organic Farm and Eco-Lodge. Wild Willows will teach you much in the same way but there is no where to actually stay. It's a place to visit, study, and work for the day. I am currently taking an Herbal Medicine class that is 2 days long Saturday and Sunday from 10-5pm. First day we discussed herbs in the field, there was engaging lecture, hands on experiencing learning how to make fermented foods, made natural beauty products like cream and salves. Lunch was included and was sooooo delicious and fresh. The class was full and this tells you that many people have an interest in these topics. The other class mates were kind and super interesting. At the end of Day we got to take home jars of yumminess and tins of body cream and salves. How wonderful is that! It can get very hot. Check the weather. Bring a big sun hat, a light wrap to cover your shoulders from the sun. A water container that can keep your water cool. You will learn lots and make new friends who share the same curiosity about nature. Go check out their next events. Last thing... there were several people in class that drove from afar to come to this class. They made a weekend trip just to attend. For people who live in San Diego or across the border... this resource is right in our city... do take advantage of this unique resource as you don't have to spend as much on gas or hotel to get access to this experience. Come with open mind and heart and enjoy!
