I'd prefer not to discuss the details. This is currently under investigation by my Housing Department. After relocating to our new accommodations in the Quartier des Spectacles, Mom and Dad determined that cocktails were no longer optional. Enter West Shefford. West Shefford sits along one side of this really cool shared food-and-drink space, with big open windows connecting the bar to the outdoors. Outside, there's a pedestrian-style seating area with wooden tables, huge planters, trees and murals -- which made it a surprisingly nice place to land after what had been a VERY eventful first day in Montreal. The staff welcomed me immediately and proceeded with the customary oohing and aahing. Understandable. Mom and Dad ordered some much-needed cocktails while I took my position beside the table and monitored the situation. Judging from the size of Mom's drink, I believe the Airbnb situation had escalated beyond Diet Coke. It turned out to be exactly the right place for that particular evening: casual, open to the street, right near our new home base and perfectly comfortable for me to hang out with the humans while they recovered from The Great Montreal Housing Crisis of 2026. Dog welcome: enthusiastic Staff reaction to Dogba: appropriate Street-side seating: excellent Saint-Laurent atmosphere: entertaining Emergency cocktails: medically necessary according to Mom Proximity to Airbnb #2: extremely convenient Parental stress levels upon arrival: HIGH Parental stress levels upon departure: significantly improved Dogba crisis-management performance: exemplary Would I return? It's a BBQ burger which oignon strings, special mayo, bacon and cheese. It come with choice of 2 sides where I always take fries and chili. The chili isn't a hot bean chili. It's a small black bean chili with cheese on top that is very good. I often take the mac and cheese balls as a starter. It's 3 small mac n cheese balls with marinara sauce and parmesan cheese. It's very good. They could make a meal out of these (although I think it would cost a lot since it's still more than 10$ for 3 small mac n cheese balls). All in all, I highly recommend it. The staff is very nice too, service is very good and I've never had a bad time. You can order take out or one of the many Uber eat and stuff delivery services. It is a loud place, much like any big restaurant. The bar nearly always have places and you can eat at the bar. So if you don't feel like waiting, this can be a great option that I took often.

(Chef is from Manu Cornuto). They have great selection of natural wines (my fave) and they carry a lot of Dieu du vin wines (another fave local wine company). The grilled cauliflower with mornay sauce alongside the braised rabbit was also to die for. I am not usually a dessert gal but I was very grateful that we tried their dessert of the day as it was so good!
