Has an exotic, almost tropical-island type feel in the heart of Montecatini-Terme. Cozy and yet classy, this is a great spot for a romantic evening on the town. The service is very attentive, very engaging, and friendly. As you would expect, you never feel rushed, and the meal is served at a pleasant pace, with an adequate amount of time between courses. The food is quite tasty, and the portions are just right. Some of our favorites include the eggplant Parmesan, which is perhaps the best item on the menu, in addition to pasta and clam sauce, the grilled salmon, and the pasta carbonara. The pizza is also scrumptious, prepared Neapolitan style, and can easily be shared by two people. We also enjoy coming here for dessert, with the chocolate soufflé (lava cake) and the crème brûlée serving as our favorite options. Prices are reasonable, especially when you count for the quality of the food, the ambience, and the overall experience. One of my favorite dinner locations when visiting Montecatini-Terme.

Such a beautiful location and ambiance! We sat outside in their luscious patio. It was a special date for my honey and I, so romantic. We enjoyed the fusion menu, with Italian as well as Asian flavors, plenty of delicious choices for us vegetarians. I had the eggplant and he had Tortelli Magellani--So good! Our starters were lovely deep-fried and stuffed zucchini flowers as well as vegetable tempura. Dessert was amazing! Gorgeous wine, friendly service--we never felt hurried in the least. We saw families with children (room for them to move about, which was nice!) and many smaller groups and couples of all ages. Highly recommend!

    Great salad!

Found this restaurant totally by accident. Noticed the interesting lighting from the street as my wife and I were about town. Intriguing! So we went in to find an excellent ambience and an interesting menu and decided this was what we were ready for tonight. Starting with a crisp cold champagne welcome, it just got better. The excellent service. The bread. The wine selection. The salad and then the calzone. What a nice dinner. And the great music to tie it all together. We got lucky. Yeah. This is a strong recommendation.

This was my second time dining at La Cascina. Both occassions were fabulous, but the more recent visit was "to live for." A friend and I shared 3 starters and a pasta, and then we indulged in 2 desserts. The first was creative and fantastically delicious and each dish was possibly better than the last. Our 2 favorites were the Parmesan cheese budino with poached pear, rosemary honey and truffle oil, and their play on an eggplant Parmesan that was ever-so thinly grilled and layered with a delicate tomato sauce and basil olive oil. Little touches that were not overlooked included the perfect density and flavor of the breads, as well as the complimentary assortment of sweets that accompanied the coffee.

DA FUQ these American ass reviews bringing down the ratings of this literally FLAWLESS restaurante?!?? Don't listen to these fools commenting how the service was "rude" in Italy they don't have to slave away for tips to make minimum wage like in the US so they don't have to tolerate your demanding ass. If you're deciding to go here for a drink, the greatest meal of your damn life, or just a sit to soak in your surroundings DO IT. This restaurant changed my life. The ambiance is unparalleled and the food is phenomenal, like one of the greatest meals of my life. It's forever changed the way I look at carbonara. Crispy pork belly? Cream sauce that deserves its own dairy category? Hell yes. Lamb leg so succulent it could cure your depression. Just go here. Their hours are amazing and they are super accommodating, reasonable drink prices and superb layout. There are so many layers to this place I suggest taking the night to explore. Honestly thinking about flying to Italy again just to go back here.

Not bad at all, I can understand why some people are writing negative comments, because the waiters are not super behaved, they are not shy to laugh ironically while leaving the table, which makes you think are you the CLIENT OR THEY ARE?! I ordered the salad with raw shrimps and avocado sauce, I really liked it, but I would have gave it some punch with acidity. After that I took the risotto with lobster and mango, the risotto is well cooked and delicious, but it was langoustine on top, no lobster... it was tasty so simply call it risotto with langoustine! Overall it wasn't bad but it kept me a bit disapointed, quality vs how much I payed... oh well....

Walked to this beautiful restaurant from our hotel.

What a beautiful place. We went in the evening and it was a bit windy. It would have been nice to sit outside in their beautiful patio. The inside is elegant. We were a large group and they accommodated us in a large room upstairs. The wine was flowing, thanks to our Collette guided travel. I had the beef in red wine sauce. It was very good and tender.

Thank goodness for Yelp international! My friend and I were celebrating our birthdays by taking a…read moretravel holiday to Italia. Our hotel for most of our trip was located in M. Terme, and I found the reviews for this place and we decided to go. 1) Dinner in Italy is at 730pm. Don't try going to a restaurant earlier than that, b/c they're not open. 2) If you're anywhere near here, COME HERE FOR DINNER. It's cheap (for Italy) and DELICIOUS. I had the "normal" dinner and my friend had the vegetarian. I also ordered a glass of house red and we shared a bottle of still water. 3) THE FOOD. Appetizers included four different small bites (kinda bruschetta like), some were topped with cheese, some were topped with a veggie mixture, some topped with a bit of cured meat and cheese. Then a HUGE plate of meats and cheeses arrived in front of me, along with two baskets of piping hot bread. One bread basket was full of circular sesame pocket type bread. Chewy, toasty, crispy on the outside, flaky. You are to cut these open with the knife and shove it full of whatever you want. My friend's dinner was a bunch of fresh and cooked veggies (such as grilled eggplant, a veggie schmear, grilled peppers, etc). Placed in front of us to share were four types of cheeses (parmesan, one other harder cheese, and two soft cheeses). The other bread was kind of like fry bread... it reminded me of sopapillas. After you declare yourself stuffed full, they bring you out DESSERT. Fruit and nutella to go with more of the delicious breads. WHICH THEY WILL CONTINUE TO REFILL UNTIL YOU CRY FOR MERCY. For the dinners themselves, about $10-12 euro. SO CHEAP. SO GOOD. I want some more, please!
