EAT HERE! This was next door to our Air BnB, so we stopped in out of pure convenience. Boy were we surprised. I've lived in Texas and California, and I've got a fairly high bar for Mexican food (for an American). Chips -- Awesome Guac -- AMAZING Salsa -- Pretty good Sour Cream -- Surprisingly fresh and perfect. Veggie Quesadilla -- Hell yeah. I loved this. If you order this, I recommend ordering a side of guac and add it on top. It's good on its own, but even better with their guac. Beef Fajitas -- My boyfriend said these were some of the best fajitas he has had in his life. Going on our third week abroad we were really looking for something different. We found it in this little Latin restaurant. We really enjoyed our fajitas chicken and beef but the guacamole was the star of the show. We would definitely recommend this and will return when we come back to Prague. read more

Agree whole heartedly with Jasmine on this one. This place has alright mexican food for fair prices, especially during happy hour when we went. I got the chicken nachos for 120 crowns and it was a good size portion for one person. The cheese was very good quality, melted and plentiful..but chicken was a bit sparse and bland. It appeared to be seasoned but did not at all taste this way....Also there was so many beans, olives..?????? and jalopeanos on the nachos maybe I just was not supposed to notice there was much less chicken? I will say the ambiance here is awesome though, feels like an authentic mexican place in the US or Mexico. Very cozy and nicely decorated to be inviting. I like how the tables are spaced so that you feel like you are alone with your guests, instead of in a large crowded place. The service here was also not the best. At least our server spoke some english, but she didn't check on us once, forgot my friends drink twice, and was generally just not around. Not sure if this is the norm here or not, but I didn't see anyone else working but bartenders and it was not busy by any means just a handful of tables. Overall I can say I won't be back- Due to the medicore food and alright service. I would rather try a place that is worth 4 or 5 stars instead and blows me away with awesomeness. read more

I came here with a professor who had apparently found this restaurant years ago while he was wandering around Prague 1. It was definitely in quite the difficult location to find, but looks promising since it was Mexican food that didn't give off a Czech vibe. I ordered the chicken quesadillas which were fine. It came with chips and a salad. The salsa was very much on the meh side and not very delicious at all. La Casa Blu is marketed as a South American restaurant, but nearly everything on the menu is tex-mex. I was there at lunchtime when they have a handful of items which are cheaper than normal. I got the quesadillas which were average at best. It tasted like they used Tesco ingredients and there was nothing special about it. An authentic Latino American place that is very popular among Spanish speaking Prague locals as well as tourists. Provided that this restaurant is located in an area that is quite expensive, this is a smart choice as the prices here are reasonable. The personnel is friendly but do not expect any high level of professionalism. This place is famous for its homy, friendly atmosphere as many people who come here do know each other. As for the food, this is nice but nothing that special. The interior is a bit worn-out but still cozy. Latino restaurant run by people from South America. La Casa Blů is in a very costly district of Prague, close to the Old Town Square and elegant stores of Parizska street. Most pubs are therefore expensive as well (which does not imply they are good). La Casa is different than most places in the area. It is much cheaper, has a unique atmosphere, to some extent it still keeps the spirit of the late 1990s when it started. The design is full of old furniture which the owners claim shall copy a typical Latino place (one can also claim they just want to save money). Food is good even though someone who really loves South American food might justly claim that it cannot compete with the best Latino pubs elsewhere. I do not recommend steaks as they do not have the best meat to make them. On the other hand, quesadillas or salads are OK. They have their own Chilean wine, drafted beer is either Pilsner or non filtered Staropramen (I prefer the latter). For a couple of years it has been a non smoking place which improved its image dramatically. The guests there are both locals and tourists. Locals are often students from neighboring universities. The waiters and waitresses are nice, effective (in this, the place has improved in recent years), most of them are coming from different South American countries (I particularly enjoy one charming waitress from Argentina). The place gets crowded in the evenings, but during daytime you will get a table without problems. To sum up, this is a perfect venue for someone who is fed up with Czech food, wants to save money and enjoy food of a good though not a superb quality. read more

Whoever is not local or wasn't pointed towards this bar would never find it, even though it is 3 mins from Old town Sq, all the way down Kozi St. Bar which has a proper atmosphere of Mexico, is quite scruffy and shabby which gives it its charisma. Delicious and very cheap menu. All mexican obviously:) Portions are massive and all staff speaks great English. read more
