Nice Mexican restaurant. The food is good, the service is good. If you have never been I would highly recommend it, for you next dinner outing.

Fajita sides and shrimp tacos I believe?

We came to La Carreta on a Sunday afternoon and sat on the patio. Service was pretty good. The guacamole was phenomenal. I'm relatively picky about guac and I feel like it's typically a let down at most Tex mex restaurants but their guac is everyone loved their food minus my dad who got carnitas and said it was a bit chewy & overcooked. So maybe skip the carnitas and stick to fajitas & guac.

Came in with a group of eight. This place was busy for a Wednesday night but we only waited about 5 minutes to be seated. Menu offers everything! Very extensive. Overwhelmed by it I ordered the special. Our service was fast and plates very hot. Server didn't bat an eye when we requested separate checks ( super kudos for that) Everything everyone ordered looked delicious and portions are generous. We all left stuffed

A full table of good food. Piña Coladas, quesadillas, guacamole, rice, all the good stuff.

Food is always awesome and staff is quick and attentive. The cheese dip is the best from any Mexican restaurant I've ever had. The restaurant itself is always clean and usually packed or close to it. I love it!

This will always and forever be my favorite Mexican food restaurant. The service and staff are always friendly and smiling, the tacos are delicious, and the cute little piñatas that are sitting everywhere are so cute. The toy and gumball machines are my family's favorite part. We always toss quarters inside and see which surprise we got, our kids always get so excited!

While this isn't the best Mexican Restaurant that we have eaten at, it is by far the best one I have had in the immediate area. Their food is fantastic, the quality was great and would easily make a top 10 list for me personally. We enjoyed everything about it from the quality of the food, to cleanliness of the restaurant, and its location. The staff were fast and super nice. After having been at the house for 2 months due to COVID, this was a fantastic first eating out selection by my wife (yes, my wife actually made a decision on a restaurant). If you're in the area and craving Mexican food, I definitely recommend this place. Side note: super good salsa taste but not spicy at all.

Food is pretty good, service is quick but not the friendliest. For a second time now, I've received the wrong to-go order.

Very good, authentic Mexican cuisine for around six to eight dollars a dinner. It's one of my favorite little haunts.

We must have been absolutely starving because we demolished all of the food, and they give you a LOT. This meal comes with the meat and onion choices, pico, lettuce, and guacamole for toppings. You get four tortillas, rice, beans, and chips and salsa to start. We were also able to sample a margarita that was very smooth so we split a 20oz. This place is mainly used for catering or ordering pickup, but there is a small area for dining if needed. Both times we came in we were so hungry that we ate at their table, which is not something I feel they are used to but they were very accommodating. If you have a small work function of 10 or less or maybe a get together, I highly recommend you try their catering options. I would love to try some of their non-fajita items as well, but it's hard to pass up something you already know is so good.

The photo shows a quarter of the food filled up a normal size plate. The food was good including the churros that I got for dessert. Fajita Pete's staff was efficient and friendly when I came in to pick up my order. This restaurant is more of a take and eat kind of place. There's a couple tables inside to sit at my definitely a fast-casual place.

Nothing wrong with that if it's your thing. Not particularly mine but that's not an issue. Nicely decorated, colorful and festive, it's the new kid on the exploding Mexican food scene in the city, and one that has become oversaturated in my opinion, as in at least 4-5 corporate taco and tequila joints downtown. Again, not an issue. But to give you a sense, the owner of 3 restaurants downtown said the city has too many of them right now and some are going to give. Two already did, but I digress. On a visit with a fellow lover of all things good food we found the my combination of 4 street tacos for $12.99 and his chili relleno + an American style taco to be approaching passable. I ordered four different meats for my tacos to get a sense of everything. Taste-wise, good, not necessarily great. The meats were too dry, the taco shells the same, not seasoned or heated. You can see in the picture there is no meat juice added to the tacos and with the meat dry, it was what it was. With no sauce of any kind to rescue the tacos they were too dry and unappetizing. Good street tacos are going to have some meat juices added. Think not? Get to KCK, the capital of the U.S. for street tacos. My offering came with onion, cilantro and limes, as they should. A real downer for service, and no one appears to be managing. While our wait staff person was friendly, we ordered drinks which didn't arrive until that person showed up again with chips and sauce and a cheese dip and had to be reminded we had ordered drinks. When our food arrived we requested refills on drinks and sauce. Neither of those requests were met. When it was finally time to pay up and we signaled, said server walked by several times and each time seemed to nod to us, "oh, sorry, forgot." It took a while for the check to finally arrive. Call it oh for 3. I'd give the service on our visit a 1 out of 5. So, yes, there is a lot to choose from, but I don't think this is a strength of a restaurant. It means they're just making a lot of combinations with the same ingredients, something I've never found that works too well. This, combined with equal impression from a friend and a few others that have now dined there has me giving it a pass in the future. But for the margarita and chips crowd looking for a good buzz I'm pretty sure they might be OK. Just not my thing. Can only hope whoever visits and sees this gets better service. Ours just about could not have been much poorer. That combined with sub-par food, and yes, one visit is enough. If you come: lot parking (it's in a strip mall off 6th street). Major credit cards accepted.
