Would never recommend this place. Bad experience from beginning to end. If you can search other…read morelocations to be better service you, do so. My dad was referred by his primary doctor back in March 2026. They had mentioned to me this office changed management so be patient regarding a call back. I tried making an appointment for my dad, they wouldn't give to him an appointment until they got his hospital records from 2013. The receptionist said they'll double-check with the doctor and would call me back. Never got a call back. I finally was able to get a hold of someone but they said everyone was at lunch and she did not know anything about a call back. Very rude lady. I asked if she knew if I really needed my father's hospitalization records, she said to call back because she doesn't know. Then My dad's primary doctor office called them and explained the hospitalization was not relevant to his referral and they were able to schedule my dad a visit 4/15. I was still informed the hospital records from 2013 were still needed. On 3/27 I took my dad to sign an authorization to release of information so they can get my dad's hospital records. Today, on 4/15 he went to his scheduled appointment and I was informed by the front desk they tried calling my dad to notify him the doctor had an emergency and the appointment had to be rescheduled. Apparently they did not have his correct contact number. They never checked if my dad's number was updated when I went on 3/27, which is basic protocol to check contact information at an office assisting the public. Also the authorization release of information was never faxed to the hospital to retrieve records from the 2013 hospitalization. The girl at the front desk said they faxed it three times today however I could go directly to the hospital to request his records. They rescheduled my dad with a tentative date, as the records needed to be received in order to be seen by the doctor. At this point he decided to take his business elsewhere and didn't want to come back to this unorganized provider. I agree, very frustrating and a waste of time. I hope they find a better way to hold people responsible to do their job and have back up doctors.

I had hoped my insurance would have covered the entire bill for my exam, which took place in June of 2024, but they only covered half. For whatever reason, I was only billed once and that happened in mid January of 2025. With my deployment having ended in mid-February, the timing was as close to perfect for my schedule as I could have wished for -- as opposed to having been billed over and over since July and having late fees tacked on, over and over... I am very glad that didn't happen. Anyway, I am home now and within a week of my arrival I FINALLY opened all my mail. Now I can make my payment in full. The only thing I didn't like was that they don't take credit cards ... and I will assume that would include debt cards. Just to keep up with the times, it would be very convenient for folks, especially like myself, who could be deployed aboard a missile tracker, 1,000s of miles out to sea and a great distance away from a post office, to be able to make payments the modern way via Venmo/Zelle/Google Pay/PayPal/Garmin Pay/Samsung Pay or Apple Pay. More and more of us are operating like that. Checks, cash and, money orders are, dare I say, drifting out to sea. I based on the professional approach in this office I hope to call Dr. Vlachonassios my regular cardiologist. More specifically, as far as the doctor goes, I was super comfortable in his office. He read my paperwork sent by the medical department that I am associated with and fully understood the assignment. Within minutes he tackled the task and had my paperwork filled out moments later. Also, I loved his staff and everyone collectively, as they presented a feeling of grand experience, despite getting my name wrong on the bill, which was no big deal, but I have to remember to have that correct during my next visit.

My cardiologist, Dr. Stanley Kawanishi is an outstanding physician…read more He has cared for my heart health needs for decades. I have found him to be, not only a fine cardiologist, but a man of great experience and character. He has a true heart for vocation and his patients. I would recommend him without reservation. Sadly, as for the PCA office culture, personnel and access to information relative to my clinical or other inquiries, very poor. This is based on a number of calls to the office and the use of the on-line system. Seemingly understaffed, poorly equipped by way of serving the patient's needs, long waits on hold, failure in returning calls, and even lacking in common courtesy. Symptoms of poor upper management's standards, training and oversight. In a word, 5 stars for Dr. Kawanishi, no stars for office staff and admin.

He is now at Memorial and St. Mary's hospitals according to the Optum staff in the building. Nobody has returned phone calls or messages left through their website. I would hope that they would follow up with a patient when their cardiologist leaves the group. When a test report is sent to you that you need a heart procedure, I should hope that they would contact you. But they do not seemed concerned to take care of you. Now it is time to find another cardiologist.
