Although their preparation had heavy cream and mushrooms, I asked if it could be done with pesto sauce, the way that I had it in Portofino. They were able to do this for me and it was absolutely phenomenal. For our main dish we shared the grilled calamari. It was the biggest calamari steak that I have ever seen. It was tender and had nice flavor. But the pasta and the appetizer were definitely the stars of the show. Tiramisu comes in a glass jar, and is creamy with a hint of espresso. We thoroughly enjoyed spooning this desert into our mouths. Overall, a lovely evening with fantastic food and wine in a beautiful setting. I cannot wait to go back next year.
