We have to comment after meeting Alessandro and his staff at La Cantina. Not only was his restaurant our first Italian restaurant on our second day, it became our go-to place. We returned three more times with friends and recommended it to everyone we came in contact with. Superb, tasty, attractive, special are all superlatives that we have to throw at it. We are already oontemplating returning to the Chianti region and will hit La Cantina for a reunion lunch or dinner and to hug Alessandro and his wonderful mother/chef who produced extraordinary beautiful meals every time for every single person.
