Honestly the best Carnitas in Southern California. The owner is born and raised in Michoacán he knows what he's doing. My Husband is from South America he says he can't eat carnitas from anywhere else but this restaurant, that other places don't taste as good and fresh. These people make everything from scratch nothing is from a day before or processed. The tortillas hand made, the salsas , menudo and birria as well as the beans are home made, the owners wife boils the beans and refries them daily, she makes the salsas. Good food for the price. Very large eating area where you can see that this is more of an late afternoon, to evening destination. It appears that there is a big karaoke or singing stage here, and looks like its probably a great place to go to at night. On Sunday noon I was looking for the very best place for carnitas and my friends all told me about this place and i asked them what is a good time to go they mentioned Sundays so I went and got 2LB and no joke it was absolutely delicious until I looked into the salsa and found a fly in it.. also the lighting in the area was nice and open they had karaoke while I was in line. They also offer a range of other dishes, including quesadillas, tacos, menudo, birria, burritos and ather choices. The staff was very friendly, but please be aware that this is a cash-only . I came here cause I heard good reviews but was upset with almost everything . There was a long line outside to the parking lot almost an hour wait to be served . So I thought wow it must be that good. Once I got inside it was so hot in there they have no fans or AC ( feel terrible for employees).I would give give a better review if they didn't charge for every little thing . They seriously charge more for salsa and Chile !! I get that they give 6 handmade tortillas as an extra charge but to charge extra for salsa !! Also they don't give limes , cilantro, onions . So we were told about this place by a friend stating that it was delicious!! We show up and there ya a huge line. My husband goes up to the front to ask what the line is for. Someone inside tells him it's the to go line. So we go inside and order 2 cokes, wait for about 15 minutes and finally ask the waitress if she could give us menus and she said that we were supposed to order in line and then find seats. I was told by my brother in law about this place & decided to serve these carnitas for a family event & well ALL 25+ people LOVED THEM! I pre-ordered the morning of the event and they did required a $20 deposit to have a large order of carnitas (12 lb), tortillas, beans & salsa ready. I picked up at 4p.m. without a problem. Service is different here not horrible. But I understand the confusion as you walk in for the first time. This place is Mexican fast food, you order at the kitchen window and pay CASH ONLY with the cashier. You can choose to take your food to go or stay & enjoy it there. If you stay, you order your drinks at your table and pay when they bring them to you. Again it's CASH ONLY. They also bring all the condiments to your table so no need to grab them yourself.
