Went here for the first time, will not be back. I am not sure what some people in prior reviews are talking about saying this is "authentic" mexican food. Far from it. Maybe it was when it first opened? Run of the mill americanized food. Lunch time on a Saturday, two other customers who were just leaving - should have been a clue. We were seated right away but then it took 15 minutes from when we sat until he took our order. Then about 20 minutes to get the food, mind you we are the only customers in the building. I ordered the tostaguac which was supposed to be a tostada with your choice of meat, lettuce, tomato and sour cream and of course guac. Guess what was missing? No guac on an item you call tostaguac??? Just wow! Chicken was very moist but absolutely flavorless, I was so glad I saved some salsa to put on it so I could eat it. Oh yea, and unless you like bland tomato sauce masquerading as salsa, ask for the hot and mix it in with the bland stuff, then it is pretty decent. The chips had potential except ours seemed like bottom of the barrel or someone sat on them. 2/3 of them were tiny bits the size of your fingernail. I know its a small town but come on, do better. Loved loved loved it! It's a hop skip and a jump from the Kansas City Airport. It's a family owned, family run restaurant. Victoria, the manager and part owner gave us exceptional service and they filled every need before we needed it. Very attentive. I had the Cabana Fajita Nachos. Two servers and cannot handle a full house. Customers left after ordering drinks because of the wait and I had to give an ultimatum to either give me my check and let me pay or I would leave without paying. One server was hustling the other was less than capable. The food was good but not worth an hour and a half. If they're busy, walk away! We won't risk another evening like the last one. read more

My husband and I were in town to get him a haircut when we saw this little place and thought we'd give it a try. We were glad we did! The special that day was tacos and I got the fried tacos and my husband got the soft tacos. I thought mine were delicious as did my husband his. We also got the margaritas that were on special for $5 and they were good as well. We were so pleased with the service and the food that we returned several days later and got the fajita platter for two. It was great! I really recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious authentic Mexican food. The interior is clean and well kept despite the building which is old so don't let the outside keep you from going inside. read more

I have been here 4 times since they have opened recently. The food and the service is what keeps bringing me back. 1st time, I had their lunch special. It had a tamale and a burrito, with a side or rice and Beens. It was excellent (9/10)! 2nd time I tried the Steak Jalisco. Steak was a little bit tough, however the flavor was spot on. (8/10). The third time, I had the chimichanga with chicken. It was decent. Chicken definitely lacked in flavor(6/10). Tonight (the 4th time) I decided to try the shredded beef chimichanga. Flavor is spot on. It has the crispiness that you would expect.(10/10)!! Complimentary chips and salsa is amazing! Chips seem to be cooked fresh to order. Prices are decent. Pretty average price. Just simply was not impressed by the food here. Wife ordered enchiladas and I had tacos and quesadillas. Salsa was possibly the worst I've had. For lunch time on a weekend it was dead inside to which should of been my first give away.
