I've been a few times and haven't been disappointed! The food is excellent and the prices are decent- the portion sizes for the price you pay are extremely worth it. Waiters are very kind and helpful, and always made sure the drinks and chips were filled. Also, another thing I appreciate is that it's clean! I have traveled throughout Mexico and lived in Los Angeles most my life and what they serve here is NOT Mexican food. It is very bad Hamburger helper that they forgot to add the "helper". No real Mexican restaurant would serve hamburger for starts (except as the sandwich Hamburgesa). We stopped by on the way through to Atlanta after weeks without a Mexican fix and were impressed about the reviews and when we went in I was relieved to see all Hispanic looking staff. The service was good. We got combinations. Mine was a simple Taco, Enchilada, and Chili Relleno. I should have been suspicious when he didn't ask what meat to put in the Taco but we were in a hurry and hungry. What we got was a hard shell taco full of only ground hamburger, an enchilada with hamburger and some blob of congealed hamburger with a tiny piece of chili underneath! We actually tried to eat some of it but was so terrible we just left. We should have asked the staff if any of them had actually been to Mexico and did their mothers feed them this stuff. Tried this place on a whim. My family and I were extremely pleased with the food and hospitality of this place. Free chips and salsa that we couldn't get enough of. The Chile Ranchero was very good came with beef in a spicy red Ranchero sauce served with refried beans and rice. My wife enjoyed the Fish Ranchero she ordered and the kids enjoyed their quesadillas. Excellent place for great Mexican food, friendly servers and clean atmosphere . We eat here weekly now. It's become a favorite. Even though is a 30 min drive it's always worth the trip. Normally this place is really good and my buddies both got different nacho plates and I just got 2 orders of chili reanollos. Theirs looked and tasted fantastic but I got maybe 4 small pieces of green pepper and the rest was a plate of greasy meat and cheese on top. Was not impressed! I had a taco salad--how do you mess that up! Well you don't season the meat and boil it! It was so soupy and bland, utterly tasteless. My family ordered steak fajitas the meat, peppers and onions were over-cooked and rubbery. The guacamole looked like puréed baby food. The flour tortillas were tiny. We complained to the waiter who didn't act surprised, just embarrassed. When we went to pay for our order to the owner he didn't even ask how the food was and shrugged his shoulders when we told him--and seemed to care less when we mentioned his competition. Over-priced bland food that made me sick. There are much better Mexican restaurants in the area. Don't waste your time, money or health! read more
